In 1980, I was 20. Working as a brand new Paramedic on the ambulance. My Paramedic partner, Penny was 34. She started as an ambulance attendant in 1969. She really knew her stuff and trained me well. We worked the entire 80s decade together and even much longer (most of our EMS careers). We listened to this music constantly on duty and off. It brings back great memories for me. Little did we know that we would fall in love, eventually becoming husband and wife. I knew her for a total of 43 great years, the best times of our lives. We lived together for 30 years, married 15 of them (I was her second husband). Unfortunately, Penny died suddenly, May 2020. She had over 53 years of service before she passed. I can tell they don't make women like Penny anymore. I love and miss you, my wonderful wife. But life goes on.
It's amazing how a song can instantly send you time traveling 30+ years, suddenly you are there again, if only for brief instants. I wish you peace, and I hope your wonderful memories can outshine your grief.
Hard to imagine. Its like you ask somebody you know if he/she still listening to music from the ancient Egypt, Greece or Roman Empire. Hell even the music from the early 1900s is almost forgoten. The music evolves all the time and after some time the ones from 100 years before get forgoten. Hard to accept because we live today and the nostalgia kicks in, but thats the reality.
I'm 55 years old from the UK and still choose to play this music.. The 80s were the best era for music ever. I was at uni '82/86 and memories continue to flood back listening to this. I was part of this lucky music generation.

I'm 44 from East London. Born in 1980. My childhood memories are with music like this, long car journeys, parties and all sorts, general day to day life, the music was just so happy and uplifting. A beautiful decade.
I was born in 1992, when I look at pictures and videos from my early childhood, I hear this music through what I see. The 80s vibe wore off by the early 90s but I'm so glad we have youtube as an outlet to reconnect with the past!
I was born in 46. I’ve Ben listening to this for years and I keep coming back to it. The best music there ever was. My son turned 8 in the 80’s and we’ve listened to it together… seems like forever. Luv it.
I was born in '57 and was a child of later 60s and all of 70s music. But I have to say that I LOVE the music from the 80s! Didn't like much of anything since then, though.
I’m 25 and I love to listen to this music with my dad! It surely brings back memories from back when I was a child and my dad would put this music on in the car wherever we go! 👍🏻
25, you'd be a 90's child ... all good though 80's in my mind .. born in the 70's here .. 80's were the best ...!! In Australia we had Mad Max, Americas Cup, Best Cricket Team in the World. Robert Decostella Best long distance runner. Miners that were real men, no A/C using 60 odd kg air legs to bore & fire the cuts paid by the meter.. Not a toy.. Ford XB XC around, Holden 253, 308's, Torana ... Good times

@@WeatherWeasel66 yes, it's the innocence from this era that makes me reminisce it a lot. Sure, a lot was going on back then, but the simplicity of the era down to how we dressed up makes it along with the 90s the last great era.

Every time I hear 80s music it reminds me of my grandmother and all the weekends we went through her movies and would listen to the music form them until the late/early hour of the night. Man, I needed this nostalgic reminder.
Born in the 70's, I was raised on all of this music along with Floyd, Bowie, the police, Chris de burgh, meatloaf, Whitney, carpenters, Diana ross and many more amazing artists. Both my parents are gone now but in the music they played, they're still here. Memories of cranking up music to sing along with them in the car. The world seemed so much kinder then and I believe the 80's was the best era for most things. So much has gone but is never forgotten. Let's keep it alive in ourselves ❤

The '70s & '80s music reminds me of my cool late brother Nelson. He was the music man in the family. He was always up-to-date and buying the vinyl records for the family to enjoy. Thank you and I'm sure you are having a great time in heaven. ❤
What a great sampling of 80's music! So many say they want a time machine to take them back to the '80s.... but that's already what this music is! It transports us - for a few moments we're back there... with the people and places we miss. And we visit who we WERE. Young, carefree, hopeful, and unencumbered with today's woes. Thank you for this trip down memory lane, the 80's were such a special time - always worth a visit!

Couldn’t have said it better! Right on! I was born in 1982 but I so wish I had been a teen in the eighties! The best music in my opinion, although I’m pretty eclectic (barring most country music)… I love the eighties. I guess I’m that typical “old person” who doesn’t grasp the new crap 😂 I’ve turned into “that person”…it was bound to happen. Thank goodness for UA-cam to transport me back to the good stuff 😝
Born in 1980 and glad I got to grow up as a kid hearing my parents jam out to this stuff. As I've gotten older now I have a greater appreciation for it. Awesome
I also was born in 1978, too. I grew up with an older sister who was into her music so much. I was exposed to a plenty of 80’s music as a kid. I love a fair bit of it still. Barely a garbage sounding song released into the music charts in this decade that’s for sure. When the 90’s hit the music video to songs by their artists was pretty popular way and indication for a song to be a hitter or a miser.
The setting in which 80s music came from is what makes it. Pushing the limits of technology, where synths and sampling machines were on top. First computers. Media that carried these songs were FM radio, television and magazines for youngsters with news and interviews. Times without internet and widespread personal computers. That cannot be repeated - which is alright. What we got is a library of songs, bringing us a specific vibe and charm of those times. 80s songs became classics along with other decades of the past. And they still carry the same energy as in the days they were created.
57 AND STILL LISTENING TO THE MUSIC WE GREW UP WITH MY SON 11 NOW. HE ADORES IT. HE HAS PARTIES LISTENING ONLY TO 80S 90S. SO PROUD OF HIM. HE'S SUCH A GOOD BOY ❤️❤️ STILL WHEELING TOO🤭🤭STAY HEALTHY PEOPLE👏

I remember rockin this music when it first came out and seeing it on MTV for the first time ever. MTV was awesome in the 80s. I still rock to this music everyday. I can't help my generation was awesome andI'm still stuck there.
Every sunday in the Philippines, this is the kinds of music being played on FM stations, songs from 50s to 90s. Eventhough FM radios are not as popular as before, i could still hear some middle aged to elderlies tuning in to it. And i grew up when music streaming platforms were not yet a thing.
born in the early 70's went to high school listening to this music, this what was on the radio, yeah there was no you tube then. Thanks for the memories.
I was born in 95 in a different part of the world. But I wish I was twenty something year old in 80s driving in USA on a Ford Thunderbird maybe; windows rolled down, one arm out and listening to 80s beautiful music. The synth ones especially are my kryptonite.
Born in ‘69 and I lived this era of music. Often drove with my high school buddy to our Chicago high school during the mid-1980s in a late 1970s Ford Thunderbird listening to this very music. Great times!
Just threw this on feeling in an 80's mood. The combination of the first two songs, alongside my own memories in the 1980s that are clear, fuzzy and even suppressed triggered something inside me that right now isn't apparently clear to me. I had to pause for a minute to think what about these songs is bringing me to near tears, when it hit me. The memories i have with these songs as an early 80s child were with my father. The only person i have these memories with has passed on years ago... I'm not old and I'm not exactly young either but it dawned on me the real tragedy of growing old and losing the people you shared memories with. Some of these people have large portions of your life that only you and them were part of and once gone, the memory begins to feel painful instead of that joyous thing it once was..

I'm 20 years old, a retail worker from Seattle Washington. It's 12:10 on a Thursday morning, no one listens to music like this anymore but it makes me feel more alive then anything else in the world
Well-Said !!
Trust me man, people still do listen to this type of music. I do, and I'm 17.
“I was 65 when I discovered that music set and I felt in love with it immediately. Couldn’t live through a day without listening to it. Thank you.” Found that in my grandpa diary when we searched through his notes after he passed away. I absolutely agree on that. Thank you for making this video, now we gather together with the whole family and listen to it from time to time all crying but enjoying the music on the other hand. I hope my grandpa listens to it up there as well🙏🙏🙏
Child of the 80s and still my favorite music still listening
my dad passed away a year ago, the legacy he left me was this wonderful music and his advice.
greetings from Mexico!
I'm sorry for your loss. I know how heartbreaking it can be, my dad passed away this year. Stay strong, he'll always be in your heart. 💖
Getting Choked up listening to these songs in 2024 and remembering the 80s❤... Like it was just yesterday
I’m 20 years old in 2024 and own a 1985 Nissan 300zx I just love the 80s I dearly wish I lived it 😢
My man. A few years older than you but also a car enthusiast and can relate. I miss the 2010s though.
My kids do too.
Maybe, you did:)
I'm 44 from East London. Born in 1980. My childhood memories are with music like this, long car journeys, parties and all sorts, general day to day life, the music was just so happy and uplifting. A beautiful decade.
Porque en todos los países dicen algo similar?? Aquí también dicen lo mismo y cuando me pongo a analizar ES TOTALMENTE CIERTO 😮 saludos bro 👍🏻🐱
Me too Chuck \There is nothing wrong with you...want you to know.....or me
I'm so happy I lived this decade from 15-25 yr old. The best decade of Music ever! Great memory's Cheer's all.
These are the kinds of songs that'd usually play in the radio when my Dad drives us home at night. I miss you, Dad ❤ See you again soon!

Grew up an 80’-90’s kid. Feel so blessed to be a part of that era. Great times
I'm 55 yrs old I grew up listening to this music I was the kid who carried a big boom box around . Will be listening to this until the day I die
Good times
Where are we going dad?
Wherever the night takes us.
Throws the shades.
I was born in 1978 and remember this music...guauuu...what feelings!!!!
The 80´s was the best Time ever...naturly with the best music....
in my case it was thanks to my mother who made me like these songs
Dad here, born in 70s. I still listen to this too!
Born 1973 here, Martin! 💯🔗💪🔒
@5LAMPO7 Get a head replacement and spare the world with silly comments.
Mom here..born in 70... we had the best tunes, in our boom box, played outside, Walked to the bus stop, wrote notes in class, and can read cursive 😂
You can sense the innocence of this era from these songs. There's just something about the 80s and 90s that makes you reminisce a lot.
I think its our memories of who we were and a simpler time, i think you are sensing and remembering your innocence of those by gone days. its nice to remember wearing those rose colored glasses
@@WeatherWeasel66 yes, it's the innocence from this era that makes me reminisce it a lot. Sure, a lot was going on back then, but the simplicity of the era down to how we dressed up makes it along with the 90s the last great era.
@@1234567890ZETA not really. Don't you think that every generation thought exactly the same thing ?
Private eyes Are watching you, every move you make, the girl is mine, Hello, the songs they got away with, Stalkers, obsessive, lustful fantasies, Born in 70, 80's was my Earth Angel years. Awesome time.
Creating this playlist along with your channel promotes healthy nostalgia! Each comment tells a story or each person shares a memory. It's like "reading" a photo album. Not "looking" but "reading".
I enjoy the comments on things like this. Thanks for creating something where everyone can find happiness!
Well said. With UA-cam we stay connected to our past and to human society. my T-shirt still in the pages in my mind. says "I'm proud to be a Gen Xer. and for that internet thing we created...your welcome...:)

We vibin, us "dads" share that in common....we don't want to lose our era...makes us young again in a good way.👍
Good music is timeless. The 80's were a different time. There is good music today and we all have to be open to it. I love this music.
The 80's were a golden age that I didn't live through, but I'm delighted to be able to feel the musical energy of that era ! An incomparable boost !
As a child of the 80's, these songs bring back some great memories. Rock on Dudes!
Be... EXCELLENT!...to each other 👍👍🎸

40 years strong, still listening.... And always play the oldies for my kids
Love the 80's music. Was stationed in England for the middle part of the 80's and loved all of these hits. March 2022, and I'm 64 now.
Every time I hear 80s music it reminds me of my grandmother and all the weekends we went through her movies and would listen to the music form them until the late/early hour of the night. Man, I needed this nostalgic reminder.
The 80’s is the Golden Era of Music hands down!
Now at 49yrs old, felt like going back to these golden era...
Likewise
I'll join you in the time machine. cheers from Sydney
Your so right Mann the world is so fucked up these days, The songs now are just a tool for anxiety and headaches, depression and gang violence, I just wish I was a Milenial I hate Genz music
Polish singer Edyta Gorniak once said, "Because of many different reasons people will leave you, but music will stay forever." So true...
i was born in '81, I grew up in this generation. im a veteran, and now im a father. and now i can see the looks of excitment on my children faces when they hear the music i grew up with. from my family to yours, thanku for having this channel up.
My dad still plays these songs while on a journey! I love these type of songs man. W old era ❤
I remember as a kid my parents taking late night drives while listening to this type of music. Magical memories
Turned 15 in 1980, left school in 82, joined the navy 83 spent all of the rest of the 80s travelling the world listening to this music - lots of memories.
My soul mate haha. Had exactly the same path! Lol
Was part of Dutch submarine, walruss class. Also served minesweeper in the late 90's.

I am one of those parents who still enjoys listening to music that brings back many memories and from a generation that will last forever.🥰🥰🤘🤘
Born in 81. These tracks will always remind me of happy times. Here we are, still listening.... the generation before mobile phones and social media
Haha, for your information most people saying so weren't alive back then
@@mareksicinski3726 speaking metaphorically about what MANY say about nostalgic 80's music. Not quantifiably about the comments found here. So...I guess the haha is on you.
58 yr old missing our 80s...boy o boy do I miss them. P.s. anyone have a time machine??? Pls...😉
Amen to that 🙏 🙌
54 yr old mom of 18& 20 yr olds in Miami.. we had the best tunes♡♡.
54 yr old from Sydney australia ,"aint no body loves me better"than you
As a 80s kid, some of these songs bring tears of joy and nostalgia.
I'm 66 and boy does this bring back memories. Thanx.❤
I grew up with this music, it reminds me of a feeling of happiness.
Born in 1980 and glad I got to grow up as a kid hearing my parents jam out to this stuff. As I've gotten older now I have a greater appreciation for it. Awesome
born in 2006 and im also glad i grew up listening to this song...
I was born in 1978 and i remember my parents listing to all these songs on record and i grew up in the 80s iam so glad i did i loved the 80s ❤❤
Omg! 1975! Same!
ua-cam.com/video/JF-_Le0KLe4/v-deo.html
I also was born in 1978, too. I grew up with an older sister who was into her music so much. I was exposed to a plenty of 80’s music as a kid. I love a fair bit of it still. Barely a garbage sounding song released into the music charts in this decade that’s for sure. When the 90’s hit the music video to songs by their artists was pretty popular way and indication for a song to be a hitter or a miser.
'78 here at well. A wonderful time to grow up!
Me to 11/01/1978
The setting in which 80s music came from is what makes it.
HE'S SUCH A GOOD BOY ❤️❤️
STILL WHEELING TOO🤭🤭STAY HEALTHY PEOPLE👏
Trucking across the UK to Scotland then back down to Felixstowe jamming to this awesome playlist. 30yrs ago my dad was doing the same I now know why my dad loved been on the road.
Your dad has great taste! 70s to 90s all the way! Todays music has no soul, not like the old days where people really enjoyed to dance and not care abt looking cool.
You're right. Today's music just doesn't have the same soul...
Great music! I myself play 80's blasting in my Chevy Van, music today can't change me!! Bring back the original MTV!!!
Mtv ship sailed, start a new one streaming and never do what MTV did.
Thank you for taking me back to the best times of my life this is the next best thing to actually having a time machine 80"s forever!!!
I'm 25 years old from Brazil, this type of music has a such nostalgic vibe. I love it 💘
I love this...Just pure bliss to hear back the golden era of music...It won't be repeated... never recreated... ever again... God bless us all!!

God bless you and your dad’s music , I’m class of 1986 . Also Mexico has some really wonderful people there. Good music is good music. Period !!! Thanks for sharing
Love it
I grew up in the eighties (was a teenager) and besides growing up in the sixties I can't think of a better decade loved the time the music the movies the 80' were magical
And America was more free then. Amazing how time changes things
Yes 👏👌
Your Dad and I grew up in a time when the music was awesome! Times were so much better back then!
...so true...a part of me is still in the 80's...keep the fire burning🔥🔥🔥
My GF kids are getting sick of these songs. I play 80's every time I pick them up from school.
It sure was
Watching this in 2024 in my mid 30s, a good reminder that once upon a time real music existed
I was born in 95 in a different part of the world. But I wish I was twenty something year old in 80s driving in USA on a Ford Thunderbird maybe; windows rolled down, one arm out and listening to 80s beautiful music. The synth ones especially are my kryptonite.
Thank you. Your post transported me back in time. But it was a Pontiac Trans Am.🙂
Born in ‘69 and I lived this era of music. Often drove with my high school buddy to our Chicago high school during the mid-1980s in a late 1970s Ford Thunderbird listening to this very music. Great times!
I’m 70 years old and actually did that. I had a 59 Ford Thunderbird when I was 18 years old. The year was 1971. That was fun
Old times has such an elegance to it.
Sadly the times we live today, there's good things, however the respect was gone long ago.
