Thanks a lot, this was an incredibly informative video for a total newbie like myself that got my first printer a few days ago, and couldn't figure out how I could possibly print some models that I've downloaded. Answered everything I thought I needed to know, and then a whole bunch more. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. You show something I have yet to see, the actual supports. I've got the latest 5.1.4 and it doesn't show any supports or brims. The supports and brims do actually print but can't see them in the Creality Print slicer. Is there something I need to do to see them? Thanks!!
@@3DRundown Thanks again!! Yes, I have the latest 5.1.4. It's important for me to know others experience the same as I. I'm talking to Creality about this.
@@3DRundown I think I misread your post. I thought you upgraded and couldn't see the supports also. Sorry. I read a post on a forum where another user didn't see the supports and uninstalled it along with all supporting folders and it worked. I also tried that w/o success. I selected the supports option just as you did but don't see any of them. Do you also have 5.1.4?
Here is question nobody seems to know the anserw to: How/where you can define speed for support printing in creality Print 5? There is no option for support print speed.
I would keep your support speed, the same as the print speed. No need to slow down or speed up for support. While you can't adjust the support speed, you CAN adjust the support ACCELLERATION speed. If you feel a need.
@@3DRundown i have the same problem. creality generate code with 150 mm/s speed on supports when plastics max speed is set on 70. and i cant finde anywhere to change it.
Hiya. Just to confirm and clarify, are you saying that the tree support DOES NOT actually touch the model? So that I learn, how does the support actually support the layers above it the tree doesn't touch the layers just above it? I do see on my model that it's about 2 layers below the model, whether I do it as in auto tree or manual tree (painting). I was trying to get it to actually touch, which I can't seem to do. So, perhaps, it's not supposed to actually touch? Please clarify. I'd really appreciate that.
@@3DRundown Sigh... yeah, that's it. What I find frustrating with this newer ver. of CrealPrint is that it's not logical to me. I'm used to Cura and like items in a category are pretty much together. I find things all over the place in this slicer. Thanks for pointing that out. That did solve the problem. I really appreciate it.

How can I find and use your Creality Ender 3 V3 SE profile? Thanks a lot!
I have not seen this problem, but, your best bet, in CP5, would be to slow the whole print. However, slowing support speed, is not the most common practice for the average user.

Awesome. Welcome to the party! Learn the slicer inside and out! Slicer is EVERYTHING
Vielen Dank für das aufschlussreiche Video. Bisher habe ich keines gefunden, welches so detailliert auf das Thema eingeht und es so gut erklärt.
These videos are really helpful
Thanks you. I'm so swamped with hardware work, but I prefer making these, and hope to make more
Great tutorial, not to fast or slow.
Thank you. I work hard to be SLOW. Fast is my nature. :P

They only show after slicing, and in the PREVIEW screen.
@@3DRundown Thanks for the response. I never see them after slicing. They show in Cura after selecting Preview.
You in the latest version? I haven't been able to replicate slicing and not seeing the supports.

Yea it touches, and you can control how much by adjusting the Z-Distance for supports, by
0.0x
Some filaments are stronger than others and will make easy to remove supports, or, hard to remove

Is there a way to make supports thinner? Besides “tree thin” lol
Tree supports have wall loops and infill density, just like prints. You'll want to adjust those. I'll see about covering this
Ummm....Anyone know where the Support Infill Density setting is? Ive looked everywhere
In modern slicers, it's called "Base Pattern Spacing"
I have a 3d Boston Terrier I want to print for my wife but the feet are really small and keep coming lose how do i fix it Thank You
Consider putting it on a raft, slow the 1st layer, and use smoother PEI bed
Given that there is no way to adjust the print speed of supports in Creality Print 5, there is no way I can recommend using it.
I have never needed to adjust the print speed, of supports, for any model.
@@3DRundown Some of the silks I use need a really slow speed, having it spit out the filament at 150mm/s causes issues.
