As a trained surgical technician who works in Aesthetics I wholeheartedly disagree. He's enhancing his malar fat pad for example. This is the worst I have ever seen.

@@lLunaticBotanist LOL, a surgical technician is criticizing a medical doctor 🤣🤣🤣Madam, you first take a course on anatomy, physiology and pathology plus pharmacology and then you will, maybe, realize, that malar pad, consisting of fat is not going to be increased by injecting sculptra in the groove, but collagen and elastin building up in that groove will actually push the malar pad away

Thank you Dr. Janjua for this well articulated demonstration! I am wondering if injecting the alar groove might possibly increase the length of the philtrum? I just conducted a test on myself using non-cross linked HA injected in the area you marked, i think it may have caused some lengthening. I would have expected to see a shortening due to the expansion of tissue thickness. Thank you for any comments you may have!

Hi Dr Janjua, thank you for the informative look into your personal approach to to sculptra filling. I have a question in regards to temporal fossa rejuvenation (would love if your able to provide a video on the sculptra method of temple filling) - but wanted to ask, specifically for the temporal region since their are many vital arteries, vessels and nerves wouldn't it be safer for the patient if the PLLA acid is infact a solid thread (as seen in embedded threading therapy) which are strands made of PDO or PLLA - to avoid any complications with intravascular injections. Watching a few different cadaver dissections and learning about the anatomy of facial structures, skin layer/tissue layers, it shows these major arteries in slightly different positions in each individual, aswell as differences in facial shapes - such as a round skull (or what i can describe as a "flat face") vs an elongated (angular, slight protrusion of frontal face structure) so one can never be to sure unless we see under the skin. Would the use of solid threading provide the same effect offered by PLLA dermal filling, and allow the physician a chance the remove an embedded thread if it has punctured or being inserted into an arterie or vessel?

+steph mccann Hi Steph, that's a very detailed question and thank you for it. Dr. Janjua doesn't answer questions directly on UA-cam. If you'd like, you can email the question to him at tjanjua@drtjanjua.com. He also answers questions like this regularly on his RealSelf page. Thanks again for stopping by our UA-cam channel!

When you say "deep," precisely how deep? At what depth are you injecting the Sculptra? Further, you seem to inject horizontal to the skin. Are you injecting only at one stationary point at a certain depth? Or do you inject over a length as you move the needle in, and, if so, at one consistent depth? Thank you for sharing.

i know this is out dated, but ? if you get sculptra for high cheek bones, and then massage it, dont you sort of smush up the design if the high cheeks.

No Sculptra is not like filler. It is a collagen stimulator

Can you use sculptra in the forehead?

    • @ThyGirlnextdoor

No it shouldn't, forehead very vascular and risk of nodular formation under thin skin.

You can use some of the newer pla products like MeNnus from Maypharm which does the same thing except it doesn’t bunch up so it doesn’t cause nodules!
