Great stuff as always fam!! I’m not as versatile with these plugins and hardware but I definitely want to up my game in getting more hardware like this and using it
I subscribed just because the beat was like 😱. I'm trying to get all of SSL's plugins to be fully SSL and then when the money is right, I'll dive into some hardware. Luv the vid bro!
Listening on my monitors here in my room I didn't notice sufficient difference to purchase the hardware unit even at it's current price of $2000. I own a big six and was really wanting the fusion for awhile but my gas subsided -- I'll pick one up when they're about $1400 on the used market if they ever hit that price. Until then I think drawmer/spl have some gear worth looking at. Currently more into outboard compressors/EQs and not so much outboard "color", I get that from my tubes and transformers :) Hope to see you uploading more soon
Did you run the plug-in channel out, through the fusion input and output electronics and back in then use the plugin to process? I bet it’s dead on. We always prefer the analog because it’s more of a sound. Big part is the io comversion and then the io electronics
Agreed since this video I've acquired more hardware and it just sounds better sometimes I don't know if it sounds thousands of dollars better but it just does something to my music and less steps that I'm just satisfied with
I get that man. You tried Luna? Something about those summing and tape extensions they have gets me there super quick. Same kinda thing. Got rid of my summing box after trying.
Since you have the new are you a D I might go with the Fusion if I were you because you already have pretty good converters I had the old Apollo I didn’t have great converters the big six has phenomenal converters
@@TouchToneDSG i asked mainly bc i would get it to mix other music that iv'e already recorded. I'm also kinda scared of recall on the console tbh. i have some neve vr channel strips but i usually just print them back into my session
@@realiam1am The recall is not that bad to be quite honest with you as long as you’re willing to commit and get the work done you’re fine that’s one thing it’s done for me it’s made me go ahead and just get things done so that’s a plus and if you’re looking to get it for other mixes that you’ve already done so far that’s a great tool
F off solid state logic these greedy sob’s they just came out with new plugin and it’s subscription only unless you buy their hardware- musicians don’t need a ton of monthly subscription bills on top of life’s bills rent and own nothing - good musicians send solid state a loud message stop your subscription with them and everyone else do not subscribe to there shameless subscription only
SSL is crazy for the price of the ssl fusion plugins-- in stead of buying all the plugins you minus well save up $900 more dollars and just Get the real thing used or from over seas for $1700 brand new.. SSl losing there minds with the price off those plugins-- I guess they really don,t want people to buy them they want people to get a subscription so they can bleed you slowly every month.. hold you hostage if you ever revisit a mix you did you have to still have the subscription or renew it.. forever you never own it.. what if they decide to go up from $14.99 a month to to $20 or $50 a month or more what you gonna do cancel the subscription and have to do allllllll them mixes over if you had to revisit .. . what if you have years worth of work using those subscriptions .. think about it pay it FOREVER and ever and ever and ever ..
I think you hit the nail right on the head bro I feel that they are trying to bolster their subscriptions so they can believe you out every month great insight I was thinking the exact same thing
I've gotten their plugins by just checking out the site every now and then and something will be on sale, so I buy it then. I bot the strip and the comp for $50. The saturation plug for like $20. The drumstrip is on sale now for $20. So you definitely can get them cheap, they just don't seem to announce their sales.
Let me know your thoughts on this will you be getting this one 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

Hey thanks for your feedback

great demo! could you demo the two band eq plugin vs. the real fusion?
On it That’s coming out soon
That hardware definitely sounded more "full"
Yeah it did man I would totally have to agree
The SSL violet eq plugin is also out will you do a review in the future
Yes I’m working on that right now

@@mattmeli5302 holy crap man That's a huge statement getting rid of your summing box I haven't tried it but now I'm intrigued
Plug ins will never have what hardware have, sonics and 3D effect.
Agreed 💯
Yeah! Ho!! 😆🤣
Yessur 😤😤
im thinking about getting the ssl big six or the fusion (just to get that "SOUND") i already have apollo x8 . which one would you buy ?

@@TouchToneDSG I gotta demo it, but for $19, might as well just buy it.

Had fusion was cool but not cool enough sold it for
RN MBP smokes fusion
I also have that and I can agree for sure
