Found out if you purchase through SSL you can get 3 plugins for 2. These are at 29.99 price point. So for the fusion series that's 60 bucks for 3 of the fusion plugins. Just fyi.
I have the HG-2 plugin and hardware in both HG-2 and Fusion. I love them all. The SSL transformer plugin is awesome. You got to increase input and adjust output. I like to the max the amount and adjust the wet/dry if needed. The SSL adds total richness to my ears. Get both plugins!
Just picked this up for $30. I have the rest of the Fusion lineup except the stereo imager and I love the Violet EQ and HF comp a lot. Got those in a bundle sale too
just a shout out love your content and all the info i get from it.....thanks for sharing your knowledge.....and i dont like your better looking than me
today i compared it vs kazrog iron...at last i bought both but imho ssl is good for modern production. PS: it deliver to mouch hi-freq in default and in every preset. I found kazrog more natural
It does so little that the only knob worth anything is the shine and LF button, that's not worth the cost of the plugin. It has to be used on multiple busses to have any effect.
I liked this and grabbed the deal at $34.99, but one thing *slightly* concerns me: both this plugin and Fusion Stereo Image are not Apple Silicon native. I assume this is coming soon? I did go by SSL's website and found, much to my delight, that they did in fact update Native Bus Compressor 2 and Native Channel Strip 2 to run natively on Apple M1 processors. Eager to see them follow up on the other plugs. In fact, the "Fusion" plugs are rather new, right? So I would have assumed they'd have been Apple Silicon native right from the start.
@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy Oh absolutely. I have an M1 Mac Studio as well. I’m not saying they don’t *work*… just that they are not yet optimized for Apple Silicon which I found surprising for a relatively new plug in.
Nice that most of these plugins have been on sale for ~34.99. Probably a good deal to be had on Black Friday too.
Yep for that price they are worth it
Just picked this up through P. B. for the sale price. Absolutely, 100% worth it!

For $29 they are worth it all day long
With Violet EQ and HF Comp you just wasted money for a brand name.
I like the option of being subtle in a plugin but not as max limit.
Great!

Question: I'm an SSL Junkie just as much as the next person; but why get this plugin over something like Gulfoss (which I already own)?
two entirely different pluings that do entirely different things
