Welcome back to my UA-cam. A year ago I submitted my application for the Schwarzman scholarship. This is a prestigious international scholarship for a Masters in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University, Beijing China.
This scholarship has an acceptance rate of less than 4%, and I was selected from about 3600 applications.
A few weeks back I was teaching a class and I was sharing with my students that I was having a crazy week because I was registering online for school. I then shared with them that I am studying a Masters degree in China. One of the students asked "ma'am did you study at UFS -University of the Free State" and I knew exactly where that came from.
In University I heard comments like these too often, students believing that the opportunities that they could pursue were limited because of their university, background, social status, skin colour etc.
When I started my channel I wanted to create a space where I can share this kind of information so that other people can also pursue the same of similar interests. Representation truly matters.
