This hack worked on my 2006 RX330, I’ve gone 1,500 miles and no more codes. My code was P0328 so the fix was to connect knock sensor 2 to both ecu inputs.
Hi thank you so much for the P0333 hack I have a Jaguar XJ8 X308 it has cured that problem. I tried putting a new knock sensor in but it still didn’t solve the problem I checked continuity through the wiring but still couldn’t resolve the issue until I tried your hack thanks again Kevin.
ok so I have completed this today and I just want to confirm my Lexus RX330 2005 code was PO332 I figured being that code I would do the other bank opposite of mikes video but I got no results and then did exactly as mike dIscrIbed on here and my issue is gone and running perfect no more lights and limp mode gone THANK YOU MIKE !!!👍
Could you help me u/s where that pigtail is in the engine bay ? I need to do same job. Hate to take apart the engine to replace the sensors, and that glovebox job looks almost as bad. Thanks !!! @@sambatarseh242
what type of wire size are those small wire? Just wanna know for reference if I do revert the wires back to the original connection in the future. They might be too short and need to add extension to reconnect them. Thanks so much!!
Thanks for this video. Just replaced my harness and both knock sensors for an intermittent P0333 code (voltage too high). Now that I replaced everything, I'm getting a P0327 (voltage too low). SO malfunctioning to non-functioning. Should have just bypassed it to begin with on this old piece of junk.
I just replaced my ECU and now my radio does not start up super loud anymore when I start the car that I thought was odd and very annoying and the knock sensors were fixed too ..Bad ECU ,,Got a complete rebuilt one for $250
I just completed this operation (05 Lexus RX330). The check engine light was off and on prior to the op, and happened to be off immediately prior to the op. After starting the engine following the op, no check engine light. Plugged in the code reader, erased the stored po333 code, rescanned, nothing. Restarted engine, no check engine light. So there’s no evidence that the op fixed or broke anything since the light was off and on. Will update here in a week unless the code comes back first, since I would definitely expect it to come on in a week’s time, given the known pattern.
So your Solara was actually knocking and you ignored it? This fix isn't to ignore a knocking engine. This fix is to avoid a very expensive fix for, what is more often than not, just a failed wiring harness.

@sambatarseh242
Instead of doing that at the PCM.. The pigtail in the engine bay is much easier . I think
It’s been 10,000 miles now, still no codes.
where is it located@@sambatarseh242
@@sambatarseh242which one is that?
How do you do what you’re talking about? Please I’d like to be able to Do more than 45MPH! My RX300 won’t go into 4th gear
so hows going with the knock sensor hack so far
Worked great for our 2004 Solara with the 3.3 V6, all of ECU harnesses looked identical to yours. P0333 is finally gone!

Everything you have said is Complete BS…

Thanks for this info! I’m going to try it on my 08 RX 350.
Great video, looks like the same procedure on my 2004 sienna. Just had the code pop up, 260k miles on it.
I didn't see a follow up video. Did it work?
Thank you worked on my 2006 RX330
i did this for my 2006 Sienna, Looks EXACTLY like your Lexus.... and it seems to have worked .

I have a 2006 toyota tacoma. Is it the same as this? Same code and same description. Are those 2 wires the same for me???????

So I jumped the pins and now I get low voltage errors on both banks, even though the voltage is the same with a multimeter. What the hell? Bad ECU?
@@Omnis2 did you get OEM/Denso sensors?
Thanks I have a rx300 where did you find the hack for that model?
Is it also possible to just buy another harness and knock sensor and and relocate the knock sensor l? I did this with my RX 300
how did you determine which wire is from Knock sensor 2??

Mike, do just the opposite for a P0333 code ?

@@liamehlers7216 Yeah, code hasn’t come back. No problems.

Vibration sensor 2
circuit high bank 2 . Anyone know if its the same wire assembly
2004 Lexus rx 330 code po333 a mi si me funcionó ise lo del video muchas Gracias
so not fixed but hacked for resale?
Amazing Thank you!!!!
is it still working?
I sold the Lexus but as far I know it is still working.
Dumb idea. I destroyed a 2000 Solara TRD doing this.
What happened?
IT's worked for like a thousand other people
