Blind Social Experiment - I trust you, do you trust me?

- This experiment takes a look at the idea of trust within our society.
Do we trust someone we've never met before? Or do we assume others are not to be trusted? We tested it by asking people if they could give a hug as a way to say YES to trusting somebody they'd never met.

Experiment #2: When I first watched it made me cry happy tears. I watched it a second time and muted the background music, and I was still happy but not as emotional and I didn't cry. For me the music makes the video more heartfelt. TRY IT YOURSELF AND SEE IF YOUR EMOTIONS CHANGE.

Love this video. Don't see what trust and hugging have to do with eachother. Or how trust and letting someone go ahead of me/ giving a stranger a smile/ starting a conversation/ etc, are related....
Still a cool idea though.
Trust is an implicit component of all our interactions with each other, even small gestures. Especially with a stranger, just speaking to someone necessitates some level of trust, if not much. But to invite a stranger into your intimate space is a great illustration. To me, trust is the opposite of fear, and sometimes it seems like everyone is filled to the brim with fear these days. Maybe it was always like that - I dunno - but I don't think it has to be that way. This is a beautiful way to prove that.

Do you think that God had someone put this phrase on our money actually as a way of saying "If you are going to trust in me then trust in people whom I dwell in, because that was my intention?" Next time I see anyone making a blind experiment like this, I will switch the original sign, with one of my own making. It could then state something like: "I am a racist & a rapist of endangered animal species!!! I simply can't help it, please hit me! I need to be taught a lesson! I won't fight back or retaliate in any way".
Just to be constructive and helpful. People need to learn that they can't trust anyone! ;)
