    Love your creative reimagining of your pieces. My only comment concerns your background music. I understand it can be expensive to purchase but if you have to use free music can you keep the volume as low as possible so it doesn’t distract from your wonderful work.

    What an amazing transformation, it is beautiful! I’m curious about what, if anything, you do with the top of this piece? I’m a new subscriber and haven’t had time to binge watch the rest of your videos, on my to do list. I also have to commend you and your husband on turning the unfortunate loss of his job in to an amazing opportunity for your family. You’ve epitomized the American dream! Best wishes for the continued growth of your business and channel, and thanks for sharing.

    Love it, beautiful. The white with the natural stained top made the piece gorgeous. Love how you brought out the details. I’d add crystal glass knobs to it, give it a little sparkle. Would you eventually do the top of the hutch and put it on tall free standing legs?

      Thank u! Yes I add a bit of water to cover the top & that seems to be enough. I use the same needle that comes w the spray gun.

    Looks great. Do you list it as a dresser or sideboard? My husband and I flip furniture also. We had a piece similar to this and we kept the bottom for our dining room. With the top we are going to put feet on the bottom of it, remove the middle doors abd add bead board to the back and are selling it as a bookcase.

    How can we know, when we need to use primer in a furniture. Thanks

    • @LemonstoLemonadeFurniture
      @LemonstoLemonadeFurniture  2 роки тому +1

      When you clean it and you have reddish tannins in your water or a brown color that looks like it’s from the furniture & not bc it’s dirty, you’ll have to prime it. If it’s a lighter wood, like what we had once we sanded it & it has shown no signs of bleeding when cleaned, you should be just fine! Hope that helps!

    Quick question…you seemed apprehensive about using the oil based polyurethane…wouldn’t the oil based poly be more durable overall ?

    • @LemonstoLemonadeFurniture
      @LemonstoLemonadeFurniture  2 роки тому

      They both have a certain amount of cure time & after that, they are both super durable. The oil based poly I had was a wipe on that I hadn’t tried before but I was a bit nervous that it would be streaky. It wasn’t at all! It self leveled as it dried. Thanks for watching!

      I had no tannins in the water or when I wiped/cleaned it off. It was a lighter wood underneath so that's usually a good sign that you can save that step. Thanks for watching!

    It was so plain. Sorry to have a negative comment. I was expecting something done to the inside. Most of the channels I watch would have fancied it up. They would have done that outside and in. I would never pay that much for this piece. Thank you for the video and allowing me to give my opinion. 😁😁

    • @LemonstoLemonadeFurniture
      @LemonstoLemonadeFurniture  2 роки тому +3

      All good! Different strokes. I cringe at details inside. I have challenged us to do one with stencils or decoupage in the future just because it is so out of the box for us. Honestly we are minimalists in our home so I think it comes out in our aesthetic. I do try to play with color. But we have sold this one a few times over now so I stuck with basics. I really wanted to help my friend out with the proceeds sooner than later so we stuck with what would sell quickly. But I get it! You might like our next video airing on Sunday if you like details ;) Hope to see you there!

    The expression “up to speed” means that someone has knowledge or know-how about about something. I think you’re searching for the phrase “up to date.”

    Why would you waste time cleaning the top when you're sanding it down to bare wood?

    • @LemonstoLemonadeFurniture
      @LemonstoLemonadeFurniture  2 роки тому +2

      Because if there is dirt, grease, oil etc on the piece you will sand it down into the wood and then when you stain it will bleed through it and show.

    • @chichidouglas5078
      @chichidouglas5078 2 роки тому

      @@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture . Unless there's a pool of oil or anything in liquid form sitting on top when you start sanding it will turn into sanding dust before you get through the clear coat and stain. I've been doing wood work for almost 30 years as a hobby and supplemental income and I'm a carpenter by trade so I'm speaking from experience. I'm not trying to criticize you just pointing out a way to save time because time is money
