    I’m shocked I’m the first person to comment here. It’s not the fancy audio, 4k shit, etc etc. The devil is in the details and that my friend you did great with. I’ve watched countless other vids on our bike and they haven’t compared. I’ll be bias- I’m 5’10 and not many references in UA-cam land on guys our height making the refs you have. Love your mods. I ordered the Memphis with 11” smoked vented shield and it’s been on b/o for a while. Did you see a noticeable difference with wind drag? I went on a 300 mi trip and was shot after riding. My ears were ringing so bad I ordered a pair of eargasm (yes that’s the name lol) silicone plugs off Amazon. They work well btw.
    You mentioned risers in part I of your vid. I’ve already looked into Biltwell 8-1/2” pullbacks, but my local HD dealer wants to bang me 8 hrs of labor ($134 per hr). Soooo it looks like I’ll be going with 6-1/2” pullbacks to avoid swapping out ALL the cables and save 6 hrs of labor as well!
    I commend you on doing the exhaust yourself. I’m by far a mechanic and left that to HD to put my Bassani Road Rage III exhaust with a Screamin Eagle tuner. Yeah I know I wanted a Power Vision but had to go that route to keep my warranty. Pretty happy with Bassani, but I’ve always loved V&H exhausts. Anyways, sorry you’re in Commiefornia land. I’m in NC and we can rock and damn aftermarket one we want hahaha. I installed a BungKing flat black crash bar which doubles up as “highway pegs”. Yes, I actually installed it and not having a lift, it was a ball breaker, but I did it. If you get one, make sure you have clean or brand a new torque drive bit. Actually it was 2 sizes (can’t recall but think T-25 T-30). I’m referring to removing the rear brake assembly and also on opposite side if bike. I effn hate torque drive fasteners bc they just suck to deal with IMO. Again- I’m not a mechanic.
    Looked for the sissy bar which I can only find on etsy and they’re sold out. Where did you order it from?
    Liked and subbed btw.

      William,
      I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to write such a kind and thoughtful comment. Much of the reason I enjoy posting videos is to get the chance to engage with people such as yourself in our community of riders. To touch on some of your comments and questions,
      The Memphis Shades road warrior fairing with the 11” screen was a great upgrade because it took all the wind pressure off my chest. I still get a small amount of wind buffeting at the top of my helmet, but like you I wear earplugs as well both for wind noise and the exhaust and I’ve been very comfortable and far less fatigued doing 200+ mile rides.
      As for the risers, Harley makes parts now for riser installs that include brake, clutch and wiring harness extensions that don’t require you to replace the entire line. On the low rider s at least, you now only have to replace the top half of each cable making DIY attempts at this install much “easier”. Here is a link to the video with those specifics. Maybe this way you can still get those 8” pullbacks. ua-cam.com/video/5eRoF2rO78w/v-deo.html
      Were you able to get your hands on a stage one tune for your screaming eagle tuner? None of the Harley dealers out here have the tunes yet and I’m not wanting to void my warranty going with a third party tuner either.
      That bungking bar looks sharp I’m definitely considering that or a mustache style bar. Did you notice any loss of lean angle with the bar you installed? I was wondering if that was the case for the ones mounted on the lower brackets. You may have mounted it on the higher bracket but I thought I’d ask.
      I had my sissy bar made by Edward Richie on Etsy. Here is a link to his page www.etsy.com/shop/EdwardRichie Some of his products will show as being sold out, but all you need to do is message him directly and he can create a custom listing for you to order from. He’s got great reviews and did a beautiful job with my order. Thank you again for your comment. Ride safe!

      @@spf100_ thanks for the fast response Gavin! To answer your questions:
      I did not notice any limitation on the lean. I definitely preferred the flat bar vs the mustache style one, to keep it more “aggressive” looking, but that’s just me. It’s undoubtedly a two person job to install bc of the weight of the bar….especially when realigning the brake side! Remember- be very cautious when removing those damn torque screws. BungKing provides you with new ones, but you’ll notice the bar will come with extra bolts in different lengths. Some you’ll use, while stock ones will be reused. They don’t make the high mount style for our model bike btw. I actually wanted that to use as a second set of highway pegs if you will. That all said, you’ll notice on the brake side you’ll have to curl your leg in a bit to wrap around that monstrous air breather. I put grip tape on the ends of each side of the bar to keep my feet from slipping off whilst riding. Another pointer- you’ll see an extra mounting hole on the BungKing bar that will have no bearing on the install. I spent probably an hour perseverating over this and couldn’t find any references on UA-cam or otherwise! I’m saving you some grief lol. There are install vids on the bar on UA-cam for our bike, but NO detailed instructions on the actual “how to process”. Also remember to use blue thread locker on new bolts. Lastly- there’s NO torque specs! None, Zilch! Per the service manager at my local HD- just snug them in tight was his response. Sorry for the detailed rant, but I’m trying to save others from wasting time and being counterproductive.
      So, BIG NEWS in Harley world Gavin! As of yesterday, HD will no longer void your two year factory warranty on using ANY aftermarket items on your bike including the engine. Yes, this is true and was told to me literally yesterday by the same service manager.
      I got the stage 1 tune done by them when they replaced the exhaust. It definitely sounds awesome….but…not as awesome as what a stage 2 would make it sound like! If I had the money, I’d do an S&S torque cam to get that awesome loping sound and extra torque. I don’t care about speed, so I can care less about speed cams, but that’s my preference.

      @@rollinreaper Ok wow that’s some great info. I’m going to come back to this thread when I go to install those bars. And that’s awesome Harley isn’t voiding warranties for third party tunes now. Thanks again for the info William! Ride safe and I look forward to discussing more with you in the future.

    Great video content across the board! I picked up the 22 FXLRS last week and I'm looking to upgrade to a proper Stage 1. In regards to the exhaust, did you notice any dip/increase in torque or hp?? Is the VH crazy loud at low RPMs(I go to work at 6am and don't want the neighbors super pissed, lol)? What tuner did you go with?....I don't want to void my warranty.... Cheers!

    • @spf100_
      @spf100_  2 роки тому

      Hey I really appreciate the kind words! Congrats on the bike! I noticed alittle more top end power with my VH but actually never ended up throwing a tune on because my Harley dealer at the time did not have any tunes available and I didn’t want to void my warranty. This exhaust isn’t too bad at idle but it really screams when you open up the throttle. Cold starts in the morning when everything is quiet is a bit loud though I will say. Ride safe!

    How is that exhaust working out for you? I just got a Lowrider ST and I wanna put that on mine but I’d like to know your opinion thank you 🙏

    • @spf100_
      @spf100_  Рік тому

      The exhaust performed really well. I had no issues with it. It’s got a deep throaty sound and really screams when you go on throttle. A few other videos of mine showcase the exhaust notes while riding pretty well if you want to hear it. I would highly recommend it!
      There is the straight version and the upsweep version of the pipe. I believe the upsweep version interferes with the passenger peg bracket so that is something to consider. Ride safe!

    So is that the trigger lock mounting kit setup on the memphis? and id you also get the headlight extension?

    • @spf100_
      @spf100_  Рік тому +1

      Yes this road warrior fairing from Memphis shades has the trigger lock mechanism to quickly take it on/off. You do need the headlight extension kit with this, which they also sell, as well as the headlight cowl to fill the space between the fairing and the headlight.
      Without that cowl you’ll notice the fitment looks off. All can be bought from their site and they outline everything you need when purchasing the kit.

      Yea it ain’t cheap on Harley’s but if it makes the ride more enjoyable and you like the way it looks then it’s worth it.
