- What is the best way to learn new English words? Are you interested in using ChatGPT from OpenAI to take your English vocabulary to the next level? Check out my latest video on how to use chatGPT to practice, learn, and master English vocabulary words. Chat GPT, with the right, prompts, provides a great way to learn words in a personalized and interactive way. Don't miss out on this opportunity to improve your English vocabulary.
Here are the prompts I used:
1. To Discover the Meanings and Context
Act as an English teacher. I will give you English words. For each word, list the forms of the word. Then, give simple explanations for each. If there are multiple definitions, do not give more than five. Finally, provide some common example sentences to show the word in different contexts. The first word is "WORD HERE"
2. To ask follow-up questions (ask whatever you want here)
Give me more examples of the second definition.
Can you explain the third meaning further?
Is there a verb form?
How can I use that as a gerund?
Is that formal or casual?
3. To Get Feedback on Usage
I will make an example sentence, and I want you to give me feedback on whether I have used it naturally, as well as if I have made any mistakes. Here is my sentence:

Another great video Luke. ChatGPT its the future of learning english.
REALLY BRILLIANT! IT IS THE SECOND VIDEO OF YOUR SERIES, THAT I WATCH AND I JUST LOVE IT! I AM A LANGUAGE FREAK AND ALL YOUR EXPLANATIONS ARE SUPER USEFUL AND VERY EASY TO FOLLOW! MY PROFUSE THANKS FOR THESE WONDERFUL VIDEOS OF YOURS!
You are genius ! It helps a lot! Subscribed!
Super useful, Luke. I can imagine a year or two from now having this functionality built into a mobile app focused on language learning, making it useful in live immersion settings.
Thanks Greg. Yeah, lots of cool things coming. There are already a few language learning apps built not GPT3. One is called Loora.
@@CloudEnglish Cool, checking it out! Hope you're well, Luke.
@@GregYeutter Likewise, Greg. BTW, I watched your OKRs video (nice one by the way). Did you use Mid-journey for the thumbnail?
@@CloudEnglish I did! Thinking about using it for future thumbnails as well
@@GregYeutter Mid-journey + GPT represent a future I want to move toward where language is the interface between imagination and outcome. In other words, the better you can articulate your imagination, the more powerful you are. It's not a coincidence that it draws inspiration from the traditions of magic and hermeticism. My hot take is that the magical tradition was able to anticipate AI and the linguistic interface.
Outstanding video! Really helpful to me, both as a foreign language student and as a foreign language teacher.
This is SUPER helpful. I practiced using these prompts on Bing and it also worked. I also used the following prompt to practice translating my native language to English.
I would like to practice translating Japanese to English. Can you give me a sentence in Japanese, and I can try to translate it into English? Ok? Here is a sample sentence. . After my English translation, could you will tell me how you would translate it and give me some feedback. Could you give me the first sentence?
This is insane! The new era is right there
Underrated channel
This is brilliant. Thank you
Excelente. Greetings from Brazil
would you mind please to show me how could us use ChatGPT for preparing for DET?
Hey thankyou ❤️
How can we use ChatGPT to teach us how to SPEAK ENGLISH CORRECTLY AND NATURALLY?
I get summatives from it according to modules of the book and plan. It works better if only you give detailed data or information
I like your content what is your intention? Are you native speaker. and is this American English true?
Luke has been an English teacher for many years from New York, U.S.A.

Hi there! I used the first prompt with the word: Fault and Faulty was not included in the answer. How so? Please
Very simple. GPT is a language model. Therefore, it will occasionally miss things. It doesn’t actually KNOW anything. It’s something to be aware of.
Hey Luke, could you please explain all the verb tenses ? Thank you so much!
A "cheating" program but super helpful for your English study, those two characteristics may seems conflicting, that's the essence of it. 😜
Please try this prompt .
I made this prompt by mixingm y old prompt and bits of your prompt
I'm sure you will like the results
