As someone from the UK that doesn’t have Walmart. I’m extremely jealous
It’s no different to HMV in the UK and all Walmart/HMV “exclusive” pressings will be equally worthless in 10 years anyway.
I'm hearing ya. I'm in Australia and we have Jb hi fi which is similar to urban outfitters in the states. However to have so much in front of you to physically look at. I would $pend up big time.
@@JasonJames72 You lose nothing,we in Eastern Europe don' t have vinyl in " Supermarkets," but in my home town there are big records shops with original pressings that are not so excpencive like in " Walmart." And to be true all people that work there are good friends,so sometimes it is " friendly," price.
@@lmc3307 why would it be worthless ? Some of these records will be out of print, I bought concrete blonde bloodletting now ppl ate selling it for almost 500$, and I paid $17 . Yes it will go up in value when it's out of print
@@lmc3307 I like that the next gen go home and do listen to the records. Some are looking to make money but most just like how it sounds and like to touch real music and not just files!

Actually, that Californication LP was supposed to be on Blue & Orange colored vinyl but when people that preorder that LP recieved, some were pretty pissed off at the fact that they changed it to yellow & purple vinyl without announcing it. But anyways, I am happy that you got it and I wish I had it but I have a lot of vinyl on my list since I just started around 10 months ago.

The trouble with WalMart and records is, if they are defective (off-center press, noisy with non-fill or warped) they will not take them back. I bought a number of their Christmas albums this past season and a third of them were unlistenable because of one side or both being off center. The records in question had been pressed at UNITED in Nashville, one of the most notoriously bad plants out there as far as quality control. Over $150 dollars worth of records that I had to eat because they will not take them back if they are open. Problem is, you can't tell if they're defective until you OPEN AND LISTEN TO THEM! I will never buy ANY of their stock again. I'll stick with my tried and true local shops. They've known me for years and if there is a problem they have no issue with replacing bad records.
So far I have not experienced any problems with Wal-Mart returns. Only one record that did not have a properly drilled out spindle hole. Records are never aligned perfectly. Spend 1000.00 you can buy an electronic centering tool. My brother worked for a linear tracking turntable company, if the record was not perfect, it would never sound right.
Wal Mart is the only place in the last year I've been able to get vinyl in good condition and not warped, so I must disagree

Our local Walmart in west Canada phased out all their vinyl in January of 2023, They never even bothered to restocked for the prior Christmas season. Their last vinyl restock was in December of 2021 with 20 of these overabundant Adel records "That's it" They didn't sell too well.
I only recently started looking at places like Walmart and Best Buy for vinyl.... happily surprised to see some pretty good stuff there!

I’m fortunate enough to have a few Walmarts nearby. The selection seems to be the same, but being the classic rocker that I am, I tend to look for reissues of the old times like Led Zep , et al. Your channel came up on my feed. Enjoyed the video. So I subbed. :). Peace ☮️

I just got the Master of Puppets on Battery Brick, and it sounds incredible! I had to get it from a UK supplier though. Looks like Walmart have pressed all of Metallica’s back catalogue on coloured vinyl, and I wish I could have them all 🙈

Omg I’ve seen so many too at my Walmarts! I’ve seen a few end up at a local closeout store with Walmart goods. I think she overestimated demand a bit and she delayed many other artists’ vinyl making last year! No hate to Adele though. She’s super talented.
@@chelseygramlin2955 I live in Des Moines, Iowa every record store here, both Barnes and Nobles, and other department stores have so many of them. I’ve traveled to Minneapolis and Kansas City and it’s the same way there. Either they pressed more than the 500000 copies they said they did or not one has sold.
I've found some goodies at the Walmart Supercenter in Poulssbo, Wa.
I actually have both Billy Joel vinyls and the Metallica vinyl you highlighted in this video (they actually put out a whole set of six Billy Joel albums back in February including the two shown here, and I got the whole batch, and there were two Metallica WEV sets, Master of Puppets was part of the first set, and I do also have Ride the Lightning and The Black Album, also from the first set)

i'd go a step further and say def support your local record store, even if it costs a couple dollars more. once this vinyl trend is over, and selling records isn't as profitable, walmart will drop records from their shelves. if your local record store went out of business cuz ppl didn't support it, then we all lose. screw walmart :))
