Hey! thanks for the video, l just did the same procedure on my new dt M 1900 , same spline as you but it seems a bit thight so the freewheel pushes the transmission forward

Hi, I have old specialized stumpjumper fsr 650b, with wheelset Roval 650b, alloy, 29mm inner width, 24/28h, with rear hub Specialized, Hi Lo disc, 4x sealed cartridge bearings, 12mm thru-axle, 28h. . Can I use this to upgrade my stumpy from 10 speed to 11/12 speed?
Hi wanna ask about freehub body. Do you know which brand using steel freehub body? Most brand using aluminum and after several years the cassette chew the body really bad

Great videos. Im looking at picking up a decent bike but with a not so decent groupset (eagle SX). Rear hub is Novatec Boost 12x148mm. Can I change to microspline same as in this video to allow an SLX / XT groupset upgrade?

im having issues putting this exact same microspline hub on the rear axle that previously held the old school shimano hg hub on my 2018 Diamondback Release 1 27.5. however the new MS body is not sliding all the way in as it hits a certain point it cannot pass on the rear axle, any suggestions?
are there micro spline bodies that have different clearances for axles?
Say I have DT Swiss EX 1501 Spline One with 240s ratchet with freehub that fits the cassette of Shimano 10 speed. Then the freehub is worn out by my 80Nm E-MTB motor. So I order an steel-made freehub on Amazon from the DT Swiss official retailer. It says "fits current 180 240 and 350 hubs". So does it really fit the hub without additional/different end cap?
The freehub body should be a direct swap!
Like the video but, it's a costly upgrade shifter, cassette, derailleur, and freehub. Many are going with the 11 speed 11-46 or 11-50 sunrace cassette. It's noisier, but works

Yes you can purchase the exp microspline freehub body and swap it over!

Not the same setup as a Shimano hub.
Can you change out any free hub body to the DT microspline?
Any MTB DT Swiss 11 speed through axle freehub can be swapped for a Micro Spline freehub body!

Yes you can get a ratchet version of the Micro Spline Freehub

i noticed that non Shimano Micro-spline only have 22 splines. Shimano has 23 splines.

Im thinking because i swapped my dt swiss 350 142mm to QR.
The micro spline free body comes with 142 and 148 end caps.
Hmmm..if QR fits 142, i dont see a reason why it shouldnt fit microspline..hmm
I emailed DT SWISS, waiting for their reply
142/148 are thru axle end caps, QR caps are for 130 or 135mm rear dropouts. You can't use QR in a 142mm rear dropout!

Theres a “microspline QR compatiable, with the Microspline QR end cap, which is different than the 142-148 end cap/ micro freebody.
Only negative is i purchased the 8-11 speed QR end cap, and i just purchased the QR microspline end cap with QR microspline freebody

Still won't work with a 12 speed mtb cassette in a 130 or 135mm frame! I have already done a video all about it on the channel!
