Thanks for the coverage of my Cavs guys. Ive watched every single game this year: biggest difference other than Kenny Atkinson’s system: Evan Mobley- this dude is devastating. Elite rim protector and his wingspan is super long. He is unguardable
Also worth mentioning that i feel alot of ppl are missing- hes had issues with free throws in previous years. This year hes really improved there and that has allowed him to be alot more aggressive around the rim. That is what has really unlocked his game IMO
@@fatuousfolderol3375 A great point. The dramatic improvement of his FT% also gives me a lot more confidence that his deep shooting improvement is not a fluke. He probably won't shoot 43.7% from 3 for the rest of the year (especially if he increases his volume), but I wouldn't be surprised if he was 37%+.

They lead the NBA in 3pt%, and they ALSO lead the NBA in 2pt%! They have a top 10 defense, and they’re the exact same guys who had the #1 defense last season so you know they can absolutely dial it up whenever needed. Regarding the question of clutch playoff moments yes the Cavs still go to Mitchell most often, but Garland is only a hair behind him for clutch scoring volume this year while posting a 78 eFG% and some healthy assist numbers. Maybe things tighten up come playoff time but the Cavs at least have plenty of reason to believe they have two initiators capable of taking over in the clutch.
I think the Cavs are taking a page out of the 2014 Spurs and 2015 and 16 Warriors playbooks where they play very hard on both ends with a purpose and share the ball. It leads to fewer minutes on the star players. But they play more games. Cavs aren’t having to do too much load management.
My shootout is to Jamal Murray. He had a truly rough start to the season that everyone was not shy to mention. This December, he has really picked up his game to his normal self and I think that goes a long way, fighting through a long shooting slump
As a diehard Celtics fan, it has certainly gotten to the point where they are shooting too many threes. I realize it’s a small sample size and they were dominant the first quarter of the season but teams are starting to figure this out.
I don’t think Mitchell has even shot 27 times once this year so that’s not even going to be a situation. We have to even deal with once in a seven game series Donovan Mitchell is taking 15 to 20 shots max and he’s only shooting 20 if he’s on because our record shows that when he’s offevery other guy is picking up the slab with no problem as we’re crushing every team
This team that is now from player one to the last man on the bench are able bodied efficient players in the Association. Any of our players would be regulars on other teams, CP Jr. Tristan. Niang. LeVert Jerome. Merrill. Even JT Thor is a great third team Center I mean this team is stacked top to bottom. There is no need to mess with this. One player can't play for some reason there is aplenty of capable replacements to step up. A third stringer can step up at any time and this team has that. I nearly won on a parlay bet I created on Fanduel where every Cavs player that played that game, it was a few weeks back, scored at least one point. On that game only one player did not score a point/bucket/free throw. I had that bet on another game at a much lower winning odds and everyone did score including Tristan Thompson making one free throw.. I have often wished they would add CJ McCollum and that would be cool although it is not needed after watching that game last night. 2024-2032 Cavalier run in going to be Incredible.
Agree a lot with Adam on Nembhard, but not Sheppard. While he absolutely plays hard and can become solid 3 & D player he’s absolutely not a “low mistake player” as he made a ton of mistakes in ECF last year vs Celtics when Mathurin out and he fouls jump shooters (especially 3P shooters) and just fouls way too much in general. He averages 2.5 PF per game in 19:56 per game which is a terrible 4.6 PF per 36 and 6.1 per 100. When he’s hitting his 3s he’s def valuable with how hard he plays and Sheppard/Nembard/NeSmith all MUCH better on ball then Hali/Mathurin (who has high upside but still raw who needs to improve on🏀IQ though he shows flashes of brilliance too at only 22 yrs old), but I promise you he absolutely makes mistakes. He does play his ass off which to you love and when his 3 is going in you like him out there but so far he’s 33.6% for career (76 games though better this yr…and solid last 2 playoffs round 1 & 2 though awful 1/12 in ECF vs Celtics with many wide open that help us win one of those 3 super close Ls) you like having him out there and his TPG super low, but he’s gotta start fouling less as he’s 5.4 PF per 100 for career including 6.1 this year and 4.9 in Playoffs. Nembhard, NeSmith, Sheppard def make Mathurin more expendable even though I like him more then most. A Kuminga for mathurin centered deal I’d be open for as both coaches don’t seem to like those current young guys. Nembhard super important to Pacers though. Not a coincidence we’re 11-7 with him (50 win pace) vs 5-10 without (27 win pace). Nembhard plays at such an impressive speed/pace for a kid his age!

Agreed. Orlando is the 3rd best team in the East when healthy.
@dearmas9068 the best team .. remember I said it
@@jordanjaypower5024 stop. Dont do that.
I LOVE what Orlando has put together, but don't forget that is an extremely inexperienced squad that hasn't even won a single series yet.
Orlando is still a step below the top 2 in the East, and will remain that way for a couple of years. Their time will come.
I will say it all season long boston is not coming out of the East
High volume 3 point shooting teams never last the playoffs man what are we even talking about .
I’m still a believer that the Knicks are coming for those top two teams in the East.
The Knicks do not have the talent, depth, toughness, or coaching to contend.
They aren't even the 3rd best team in the East. The Magic are.
The POs are different. The Celitcs will wipe their asses
Vote Bronny 4 all-star
Here's the problem who's the 5th starter and who's the 4th and 5th closer
Spoiled for choice
Cavs can win 70 games
I’ll take the Thunder all day!!
Thunder is a good team, but they're food for the top 4 Beasts of the East. MIL, NYK, CLE, BOS
@@spce956 the Magic are better than the Knicks, but yeah
Incoming blowout loss to the Lakers coming now!!😅
@@johnnykeane9633 didn't you say that about the Cavs facing the Warriors just 1 day ago?
Cavs don’t have a good perimeter defense. There’s no way they can win a series vs. Boston.
Lol! Who told you that?! None of that has ever been true.
Yall just make things up...
@ You’ll see
@@Gdzz10 I already do, son. You dont.
The only argument you've got is that OCCASIONALLY the Cavs lack some effort on closeouts, but thats it. With the number of good and great switchable, strong, defenders the cavs have they can be the best defense in the NBA any time they need to. And they have...
You should probably know what you're talking about before talking.
@@dearmas9068 Cavs don't have an elite defender that can lock up the opponent's best player. And in pick-and-roll switches, Darius will be destroyed by Tatum, Brown etc.
@@Gdzz10 you just keep talking about a sport and a team you dont understand...
Isaac Okoro is an elite PoA defender who can switch from any guard to any wing in the NBA.
Max Struss, Ty Jerome, and Caris LeVert are all excellent, though not elite, PoA defenders that can switch onto any guard and most wings.
Dean Wade was the #1 rated wing defending forward in the NBA last year according to Stat Muse. He is elite on forwards like Tatum, and can switch onto some guards and bigs.
And then there's this one guy. You might have heard of him. EVAN mothafuggin MOBLEY. An elite inside outside defender who can pick up literally anyone in the league any time of day.
And ALL of them can play up on their defender because they have Jarret Allen backing them up.
Meanwhile Garland and Mitchell are actually way better on defense than you casual fans have ever known. Garland literally forced Tatum to miss several shots in a row during crunch time earlier this season. You just THINK you can pick on him.
Cavs have shown who they are the last 2 playoff series they are just regular season champ chasers
Lol, these casual fan takes, man....
They weren’t even healthy the last 2 playoff series what are you yapping about
You need to stop living in the past, sir.
Keep watching the box scores and making dated statements. Go watch this team for a few weeks then say that. You simply dont know basketball w that dumb of a post.
No one in the east fkin with the west
Lol, these casuals and their opinions...
I guess that’s why the east has won the last two championships.
Who has CLE lost to from the west?
