    “We created a new character?”
    “Great! He has merch, right?”
    “No…but you can go see Rachel and the Alley Cats!”
    “They have merch right?”

    “So THEY have merch, right?”
    “…Also no.”

      This just seems like the most un-Disney decision. "We could sell you things, but we decided it would just be better for you to enjoy the moment."

    I think you’re overselling this when you said you can join the walk up list at the Brown Derby for free. You did mention the food is not, but to get on the list is free. Also, why does Disney get a pass because it’s opening night? A non media person pays $159-$179 per person, even that cookie is $6. No preferential treatment for meet&greets for regulate folk. I did appreciate that you all tried a lot of different foods.

    Emma, your minimization of the Brown Derby Waitlist fiasco really shocks me. Every single person who got on the wait list was told 10 minutes and basically waited around for 30 minutes before being told that Disney’s app had a glitch and everyone was told 10 minutes. That 10 minutes was actually a 2.5 hour wait. And the vibes inside were underwhelming. A piano singer who didn’t sing Christmas songs. The food was bad. Our boa buns were ice cold. The boa roll was actually frozen. You made no mention of the bison sliders. They might have been good if the rolls weren’t burnt and rock hard and the burger dried out as if it was u see a warning light for 3 hours. This event was a dumpster fire

      They were comped, they had a handler to make sure they didn't wait and nothing went wrong. They didn't have to wait in those lines so their review is a little skewed.

    I went to the event and had a lot of fun. I was very much impressed with the muppets Hollywood show and Nightmare before Christmas show. Plus the short wait times for the rides really sold it to me. I will admit that there was some super long lines for characters and certain dining locations, but I saw the lines and adjusted my plans on the fly. To be honest, I bet certain party guests were sour about the lines and average food, but I heard few to no complaints about the event overall. In terms of the AllEars review, I think they were fairly honest about how things were. And really, You can give constructive criticism about an experience without being negative or hostile and that’s what they accomplished in this review. I definitely would go to this event again in the future once all the kinks are worked out. It was also so great to meet Quincy, Cassie, and Dustin. They were so nice and very stylish that night.

    • @AmandaMolly

      100%. The food may be average food, but the experience is what your there for. A fun event with cool characters. That is most likely who I'd see which are the characters. I have patience to stand in long lines and I do not get sour or upset. It is the first night and many want to attend the first night so wait to go on the other nights as I am sure the long lines will be no more.

    I would love to see a version of this video where y’all do the rides instead of all the holiday party offerings. That’s what my family would do if we came. We’d do a little Christmas stuff, but mostly be doing rides for the shorter waits. How much can you ride during the party hours?

    • @heyyyItsDani
      @heyyyItsDani 6 місяців тому +2

      Same here. So far, @ShannonFord is the only one I've seen where a family does (some of) the rides. I believe they did Tower of Terror 3 times, Rock n Rollercoaster 2 times, and Runaway Railway once. This is in addition to some specialty photopass offerings, the 2 shows, and unfortunately waiting in a character line that didn't pan out.

      I feel Quincy is sugar coating it. Every video I’ve seen is people being disappointed. Long lines, over priced food and drinks, lack of decorations, characters who for the most part you can meet year round such as Max, Rescue Rangers, Edna Mode and Frozen. I’ve met them all this year. They would have been better off just bringing back the Jingle Bell Jingle Bam party. That one was fun with food and drinks included and priority seating for the night time show. Also an ornament given and the price was like half the cost. So glad I didn’t purchase tickets for this one. Way too many up charges.

      Other than ridiculous long lines for food, drinks & getting in… this party seems as advertised to me & I think it’s pretty comparable to the MK Christmas party. I think Disney will get the line issue worked out pretty quick/ plus I think having many locals at this 1st party put extra stress on those particular offerings.

    I think you guys should do a timed land challenge in MK. Two people go head to head and have to do each ride, get a snack from each stand or restaurant, go through each shop, see the shows, and do all the activities before they can go to another land.

While there are some kinks that need to be worked out, and I do wish they wouldn't have let as many people in, we had a really great night, and would gladly go again. Whenever something is "brand new" - consider it a test run for future years. They'll probably add some stuff, remove some stuff, rework schedules and pricing... so take this with a grain of salt. But I'm here for AllEars & DFB kids. So glad that Dustin and Cassie are seen more often in these videos. Dustin just has that 'cool' factor especially when he praises the cast members (as we all should) and Cassie is that perfect blend of sweet and sassiness that creates just a tinge of necessary chaos during these videos.

      I have to disagree. Disney Parks has been putting on these types of nighttime events for decades. Even for a new event, they shouldn’t provide this poor of an experience. From what I’ve seen, this feels especially money-grabby, even for Disney.

    • @AmandaMolly
      @AmandaMolly 6 місяців тому

      This! I get everyone who vlogged this opening night of the event was disappointed but come on it is the first night and always the first night of something is literally a test run to work out the kinks. Its like doing a soft opening of a new business right, you have to work out what works and what doesn't. From Quincy and Emma said in there instagram post the food was subpar and so on, but now you have DFB cast who reviews food and they have different food tastes. So one person might enjoy something when the other person will enjoy that food.

    This "party" should not cost anything to attend. This was just sad. Hollywood Studios was more fun back when they had the Osborne Lights, which was all FREE. This is super lame highway robbery. And they couldn't throw in a single free cookie or hot chocolate for people at the party? All in a measly 4-hour time frame at that! Do not recommend this to anyone. Save your money.

  • @TheGoofy1932

    Calling this a party feels a little disingenuous, especially, when you look at the $180 price tag. For 2 shows, a couple local bands and a very disappointing "fireworks" show. The characters shown can either be seen during regular hours or at their other much better parties. So, yeah, that's going to be a hard pass from me. Genie+ is making a quick buck, the other parties are to make a quick buck. I hope most of the money is going to taking care of the animals. Everyone is out there making a quick buck. Disney makes so much money from all the merch, genie+, streaming subscriptions, food, these events and now the strikes are over they have to pay the writers properly and so on. They also need money to build all the projects they are planning in every disney park. I am sure they have loans to pay back for the new cruise ships too. The reviews are to see if you would recommend it to your viewers. If you paid $159-$179 for a 4 hour event, and waited for half of it, I’m sure you’d be pretty negative as well. People brought their kids to this event, and a family of4 pays $600+ on top of the up charges for food and snacks. I don’t know anyone who would pay that price just for short ride lines - Genie plus is cheaper. In order to get the experience you have to pay $$$ for small portions of food and wait in long lines. If that’s appealing to you, 🤷🏻‍♀️
