He showed it at 70 C at 0:51, so in reality it went well above the 90 C "max temp" listed by AMD. That also means the thermal protection was likely tricked too, as well as any fan curve that was set.
@@burninrubber0 I think it is because even that little fan is overkill for that CPU, perhaps it can be cooled passively if needed
I've been following the hardware market pretty avidly for almost a decade, and I've never heard of the Sempron lineup.
They used to be mainly single core chips. I think there was one that could easily be unlocked into a dual core with certain motherboards
It was AMD's later low end line to "compete" with the Celeron. Their earlier one being the Duron.
@@RandomGaminginHD Yeah that was the Sempron 145 which was literally an Athon II X2 with one of the cores disabled. Sometimes that disabled core was defective and didn't work properly when unlocked, but a lot of the time it was still good to go as I don't think AMD had that many defective dual core dies to use for the Semprons.
Hello, can i ask what main PC ur using, and can you make some setup tour?
GTA5 if it was on the PS2... holy shit, it actually makes me smile to see the jagged polys, super fun to look at in a nostalgic way
