Thanks for the comment Matt! 😊 I’ve had a bunch of sales that I listed 2 years ago in the past month 😅🤷♂️ I think is good to check in on things every so often to make sure there aren’t complete duds, dragging things down. Wish you a good week mate 🙌
Thanks bud! Glad you enjoyed it 😊 Yeah it was a shame, only 1 active listing at £79.99 and previous solds In the £50 range. Woulda been that little bit sweeter, but I’m not complaining 😊
@@jordannimash Now that I’m adding much more stock to the store daily. I’ll defo have to check in on things every so often too. To make sure I’m not wasting space when it becomes more precious 👌
Very interested in the process - are you putting away a little money each month at this point to cover the new process that Ebay is being made to do with HMRC? Not sure how much of a percentage HMRC are going to take in tax (around 20% to 40% if anything like income tax), but it can't hurt to be ahead of the game when the end of the tax year arrives! Keep making the videos - it's inspiring, have just started a few items around the house now - the great house clearance has begun!
Thanks so much for watching and dropping a comment 😊 So the new process with HMRC is only for Personal Account eBay sellers. Like yourself, finding items around the house that you owned, that you no longer want and wish to sell. I think it’s, once you make £1000 on a personal account, they want 25% (£250). Can’t remember if this is for each £1000 made or not, don’t quote me 😅 However, as I am actively buying items to resell, I have a Business Account on eBay. It’s a simple setting change In your “my account settings”, only make this switch if you start buying stuff to sell for a profit tho. Therefore the new HMRC law doesn’t apply to Business Account sellers / self employed as we already declare all of our earnings to HMRC to be taxed. If that makes sense? I use Mettle banking / Business accounts of NatWest. And within the Mettle app, I can create savings pots. I currently have it set, so that any income to that account automatically gets split into pots. 30% Goes Into My Personal / Wage / Living Expenses. 20% goes into a Tax pot, ready for the end of year 👌 I really do appreciate your comment too, I will continue to make videos as I find them fun and it’s a good way to keep myself accountable for things. I wish you the best of luck getting started, it easily becomes addictive and before you know it you’ll be scanning anything and everything in your house to check its value 😂 trust me, been there 😉 If there’s anything else I can help with, feel free to ask, I am happy to do my best to help 😊🙌
@@TommyTrades96 Thanks for this information...exactly what I needed, sets my mind at ease. @@ijleach you are most welcome, I’m glad it’s helped you out 😊 Oh wow that’s awesome! It’s so rewarding to create something yourself. I wish you all the best with it! Are you on Instagram? I’d love to see your creations 😊 I also took advantage of the “switch” bank accounts to NatWest and get £200 for switching. I’d keep an eye out for the offer when it pops up again, if your not already with them 😉 Some free easy money 🫡 It definitely helps if your making the move towards minimalism too, you don’t feel bad about getting rid of things then 😉
Hey, Well done on your sales. I was wondering why your eBay is still a private sellers account and not a business account? I thought you had to change your eBay account to a business selling account if you are selling items for profit. If you are a sole trader or limited company and buy or make items to re-sell you can't sell on a private sellers eBay account. I wish you could as I don't like having my home address for everyone to see on my eBay as I have changed my account to a business account, or am I wrong and you can still keep a private sellers account even though you are classed as trading?
OMG…. You were completely right!! I had made a huge admin error 🤦♂️ When I started my subscription to an “eBay store” I had through I changed my account to a business one. But after you brought it to my attention I’ve double checked and I was still on a personal account! This whole time 👀👀 whoopsie 😅 All has been amended and I’m now a business account. Thankyou again for bringing this to my attention! 🙌🙏🫶
@@TommyTrades96 No worries. I was hoping you'd come back and say you can still keep a private account. I was liking the 80% off eBay fees discount every two weeks but, that has now gone now that my account is a business account :( Good luck with it all :)
@@JoTiLuMy Yes it is a shame, we miss out on some additional savings here and there. But in theory being a business account should benefit us more. Lets see if it makes any difference in sales 🤔 Thankyou so much, and to you! Wish you all the best with it 🙌
I've sold stuff that has been on for years. And I agree if you have the storage space keep it I say👍. Great video as usual 🎉

Thanks Jiji! There must be something in the air / algorithm 👀😉👌
@@TommyTrades96it’s the air
We just leave stuff on there for up to 6 months and just throw offers out there to see if we get any takers.
Gradually lowering the prices too? What do you do after 6 months? Donate to charity or carboot sale yourself? 🤔
@TommyTrades96 yea just gradually reduce the prices or relist the item.

Yeah when things sell immediately you know you've sold it too cheap but as you said it's just lying around so doing nothing for you 👍
100% it’s better of as £20 in my pocket than a dead phone lying around. Get it on, get it gone 🫡
