It’s not uncommon for animals to mistake the cries of human children for the cries of their own young, and seek to protect and nurture them. There is a story of a young girl in Africa being kidnapped and her kidnapper/s being mauled to death by an entire pride of lions. When a search team went to look for her they found her protected by a circle of lions, and it’s theorized that her cries sounded like a hurt cub to the lions and that’s why they wanted to protect her.
There are also stories of animals taking in and raising animals that are not the same species, either because they are grieving from having lost their young or because they simply mistook that animal for one of their own and brought it into their litter. It’s not like I don’t believe in Sasquatch but I’m just saying it’s not unheard of for animals to randomly care for each other and for humans.

But making shelters, and picking berries... Thats quite hard to imagine that an animal could do that..... Would be a revolutionary behaviour for a bear to built an actual shelter. Actually never witnessed

@@oreziopancrazio3685 kids are also know to exaggerate though, and there is only one case where it was mentioned that the animal picked berries. Bears are known to eat berries so it’s entirely possible they were near some or just happened to have some that wound up on the ground near where they slept. In a child’s mind that can easily equate to, “Oh look the nice bear picked them for me!” If all cases spoke to this I’d be less inclined to dismiss that piece, but it was only one kid so I’d say that can be safely thrown out as a child’s hyperbole for the sake of objectivity.
The shelters are also easily explained as pre existing constructs. I do some SAR and am an avid backpacker, and I’ve seen animals many times take advantage of shelters humans made and left behind while on backpacking adventures or on a hike. It’s possible that they simply sought shelter in things already made.

100% agree with you here. Some of the “weird” things mentioned in the stories are easily explainable.
For example, in regards to the berries, kids are also know to exaggerate, and there is only one case where it was mentioned that the animal picked berries. Bear or Sasquatch, I would imagine these are cases of grieving mothers who lost their cubs and saw a small thing that obviously needed to be nurtured in order to survive, thus taking them and caring for them for a few days before “coming back to their senses” and leaving the child behind. Quite sad if you think about it that way

There is absolutely no evidence to support this claim. It is highly unlikely that a mother bear would exhibit maternal instincts towards a human child. Bears generally avoid close proximity to humans, let alone take a child for several days before suddenly deciding to return it. The entire scenario is implausible.

Back in the 1970s when I was a kid, I knew a kid who was half Choctaw. His grandfather, who was full Native American, told us that when he was a small child, his little cousin was taken. And that she lived with the People of the Hills, Swamps, and Woods. Just though it was a "cool" story until I came across this video. I have 4 daughters of my own. None of them are small children anymore. But I can't imagine losing one.

"People of the Hills" is exactly what the Irish otherworldly people were known as in mythology and folklore. Someties I get weirded out by the parallels between those stories and these. They were also believed to steal children, and others, favoring boys over girls, were believed to be able to control at least some weather phenomena, and overall just parallel these stories in so many ways. I don't know if it's just people coming up with similar stories to deal with the same phenomena of disappearing people, but it freaks me out how recognisable some of these narratives are.

When I was 4 I wondered off from our camp fire near dusk. Once I realised I was lost, I started to get scared. Next thing I know, a huge hairy hand took my hand and walked me to the edge of the trees. There was our fire and my family. I was so happy to see them, I almost forgot about my friend. I turned to thank him, and all I saw was a dark mass of hair disappearing behind a tree. This was in the Nez Perce forest, in 1975. I've had many experiences over my 50 years on this earth with creatures like this. I've always called them the Watchers. I don't know if these are what helped me. It's all very intriguing, and just when humans think we've solved all the mysteries, Ma Nature shows us otherwise.

A nurturing bear is one who either had cubs or lost them to disease . Wolves act the same when maternal hormones are in full sway . I had a cat that raised a duckling after several of her kittens had died . She abducted a wood duck and the duck took to her too . The nuturing hormones are strong enough in some animals that they can raise young that they would normally prey upon or vice versa .

I have a theory which might sound crazy but what if it was a spirit of a Coree tribal member who cared for Casey? Or it could be a shapeshifter. In many legends from various Native American tribes bears have strong, familial connections to clans in terms of being ancestors. Who knows maybe it was even a Coree deity. I was looking into this case and I found a comment on Reddit from someone who claims to be from New Bern (where Casey is from) and here is what they said:
"My grandmother is lives in New Bern, and people talk. BEAR is the nickname of a mentally challenged man who lives close to Casey's family and knows them well. Bear wants kids but cannot have them. The story currently goes that Bear saw Casey alone outside, invited him over, and kept him the first 2 days. Thursday morning Bear's father found out he had Casey and demanded he return him to the woods. WHY NOT CALL THE COPS?? Well technically Bear kidnapped Casey. So to protect Bear his father told him to set him in the woods. Thursday night he is located 250 yards into the woods. 6 counties of cops combed over 250 ACRES of woods for over 2 days. Nobody heard a thing til Thursday evening. Casey shows ZERO evidence of exposure. Only cuts from the briar patch. He was calm because he spent most of that time with a familiar face. Also, WHY THE F was Casey outside alone with a 4 and 5 year old in an unfenced yard?? CPS needs to investigate that family. Casey's grandmother is currently in jail for murdering her boyfriend. There's a LOT more to this story."
In a separate comment on the same thread, the same Reddit user says this claim is a common theory amongst locals about what actually happened. If there is any truth to this, that would explain a lot about the mystery of Casey saying that he was taken care of by a "bear". Why didn´t authorities looked up the claims of the locals is anyone´s guess - after all, it is still remains to be explained - besides his survival - the lack of evidence to exposure to the elements of a 3 year old who was missing in the woods for almost 3 days.

@@Llyrdriel Thanks. I read a lot of Native American mythology as a kid and teen. I even have a book on various Native American myths I purchased years ago. When I heard about this case I decided to familiarize myself with the indigenous history of the area. That’s how I learned of the Coree. If Casey attracted the attention of a Coree spirit, perhaps even a deity, then that could be how he managed to survive. Also I have read about ghosts who help the living in times of crisis so that’s what made me develop the theories. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll ever know the full truth. Only Casey and whoever the bear was know the full, absolute truth and with infantile amnesia I don’t think Casey will be able to fully recall all the details.

A work of fiction where a woman is taken by a female sasquatch that had recently and tragically lost its own child. The female creature was so grief stricken that the other sasquatch in her family, about 5 or so, did nothing to interfere and allowed the human to travel with them. We once went camping at a creek that was surrounded by woods. We camped in a small clearing by the creek, we had an 8 month old son that was asleep in a childs play pen that I covered the top of with netting to keep the mosquitoes off. I never believed in a big foot type creatures, thought it was just a myth. But of coarse I had been going to the rest room all night not to far away from my son who was sleeping in the play pen so I could keep an eye on him as I did so. The area where we had the car parked was a good ways away from where we were camping because the woods were so thick that you couldnt get there by car. So we were sitting up by the water doing some night fishing and my husband had to go up to the car for something he needed so he took the pistol that we had with him to walk to the car because he had to go thru the woods to get there and I stayed at camp with my son. I had to go to the restroom so I went in my normal place at the edge of the woods so I could keep an eye on my son. There was a steep cliff that was about 10 foot high right behind a row of trees and as I squatted there I was facing that cliff, we had a lantern hanging on a tree branch right by the play pen that my son was sleeping in pointed towards the trees and the ciff. And I noticed some big eyes starring right at me and at first I thought it was an owl or something in the trees but before I could get up and pull my pants up a big creature with blonde curly hair was standing there on two legs walking towards me, I was scared shitless because I didnt know what it was. You know that old saying that you were so scared that the hair stood up on your arms, I was that scared and my first instinct was to run but I couldnt because my son was there in the play pen asleep, so I started screaming but that thing just kept walking straight at me by this time it was about 20 feet away, I had backed up as far as I could to the edge of the water right by the play pen. It didnt seem to be in a hurry to get to me, it was just walking. So when it got about 15 feet from me I drew in as much breath as I could and screamed to the top of my lungs and it just stopped and turned and walked away. Needless to say I now believe that there is something out there that us humans dont really know about. We did not camp that night, we packed up our stuff and went home! I asked around and talked to numerous people and went to the library and did research just trying to find something, anything that looked like what I saw that night, but everyone that I told just thought I was crazy! I never found any description or anyone else that had seen or reported seeing that creature. Years later we moved next door to an elderly couple that had grown up in the area and used to go night fishing in the area we were in that night and they told me that one night while they were fishing off the tail gate of their pickup at a creek about 2 miles from where we camped that night, they saw something like that walking up the creek and it scared them so bad that they jumped in the truck and left. David Paulides once mentioned a case when a girl went missing while picking berries. She was eventually found, and her hat was missing. She had a strange story about being with a giant wolf, and the wolf ate her hat. It seems like a similar story to these "bear" encounters with children. There is another well documented and often sighted creature called a Dogman. It's a creature that's described as a werewolf like beast that can run on two or four legs and in some encounters, looks somewhat bear like. It might explain the paw prints that made the searchers think they were tracking a bear, since Sasquatch has more human looking feet, just much larger. Dogmen are considered by researchers to have human level intelligence and there have been descriptions of dens made out of large tree branches piled in an almost teepee like manner. Most Dogman encounters often entail, the beast chasing humans out of it's territory, but it's possible that they might have a different attitude towards small children. After all, there are documented cases of actual wolves nurturing babies and toddlers, even a few rare cases of people having actually been raised by wolves.

I'm gonna tell this story: I went to Hurricane Ridge (Washington State) way back in 2015. On my way up the 17 mile road that leads up to it, I spotted some very deep depressions in the snow leading from the road up a mountain between some pine trees. I pulled over and looked closely at them, and also took photos and a video (which I can link to for anyone who is interested) and they looked like giant bare footprints (bare not bear). Shortly after, I was on my way back down from the trail as it had started getting a little too treacherous, and I had already slipped and fallen once. The higher up I got, the less visible the trail became and the deeper the snow. On my way down, I kept stopping to record video of the tree line up and down the mountain, as I kept having a sensation like I was being watched. Sure enough, a few minutes later, my eye caught movement about 2000 yards straight down the mountain off the trail I was descending. When I focused on what it was, suddenly a GIANT black bear came into view: lumbering slowly towards a group of trees that were just past the clearing it was crossing, which made it visible. I took a video of it with my Nikon super zoom camera (also have those photos and the video) and was pumped to have finally seen a bear in the wild and not stuck in a zoo. An older couple happened upon where I was standing near the trail, and I told them I had just recorded a bear. They were surprised and I offered to show them the video. I tried to turn on my camera but it wouldn't turn on. Pressed the power button several times, but my camera was broken. I pointed to where the bear was, and they were able to barely see it. They continued on their way, and just as they got out of my line of sight, all of a sudden, my camera started working again. Something prevented my camera from turning on until the other people had left. I was left with a strange feeling that somehow I had actually recorded Sasquatch instead, but that it had changed it's physical appearance to that of a bear. I know, I know, it's ridiculous; but at the time it seemed all too possible.

She'd knock them around a bit, lick on them some, carry them around for a few days, but as they got weaker and weaker, she'd either kill them herself or leave them to die and on the few occasions another predator attacked them, she wouldn't do anything to defend them and was even seen feeding on one of the calves alongside a male lion. When she did have cubs, she exhibited some of the same behaviors, caring for the cubs for a few days before seemingly growing bored of them and abandoning them.

Interesting factoid: if you look up Radagast Brown’s comments on this channel, you will find that 100% of them are related to speaking negatively about David Paulides, and the Missing 411 book series.
Regarding your statement about there always being horrific weather patterns related to these cases … keep in mind that not all of the missing persons cases covered on this channel, or in the Missing 411 books, are followed by extreme weather patterns. However, David Paulides did discover that a number of anomalous cases do include severe weather patterns either just as or just after the persons went missing, or just as searches were being organized.
The weather patterns themselves could contribute to why people may have gone missing, or were never found, but are not in themselves a cause to explain the phenomenon, as correlation is not the same as causality. The cases presented in Missing 411 some may call “cherry picked”. The reality is that there are so many missing persons cases (hundreds of thousands) in these clusters, that just the nature or cataloguing them, investigating them, and writing about them, means that only specific cases can be highlighted. David Paulides highlights cases he has noticed thru his research, and via the CanAmProject database he must invariably be building, to contain specific standout anomalies, such as extreme weather patterns. Therefore, a true picture of the statistics related to these anomalies can be uncovered over time.

    • @nancykillsyou
      @nancykillsyou 3 роки тому +1

I think this is a case of correlation and not causation. It all depends on what type of climate you live in. And in an area of America where rain or snow is frequent and inevitable means decreasing the chance of finding the missing person, and increase thd chances of a person going missing to begin with. But there is no direct causal link between missing persons and bad weather.
If you think about it logically it makes sense. Bad weather inhibits searching which decreases the chances of the person being found. Therefore they end up a well known "missing person" that we hear about in documentaries etc. So naturally, there are going to be more cases of missing persons involving bad weather. And so we assume a causation between the missing and the bad weather. The missing person doesn't cause the bad weather, the bad weather contributes the missing person. (To say it in a simple way.) But not always.
Case and point: plenty of people go missing and are never found despite constant good weather that is ideal for search parties. And people have been found even during bad weather, rain and snow.
In short: it rains and snows in certain places. This inhibits searches. Which decrease the likelihood of being found. So therefore there will be more cases involving bad weather and missing people. No mystery. Nothing supernatural. Just simple, logical stuff.

Worldwide encounters with huge bipedal, hairy, smelly creatures should dispel any doubt that Bigfoot has a universal distribution. What, do the ridiculers really think that there is some global conspiracy between everyone who has ever had an encounter or sighting? And how often those who have done have never before heard of such a beast? No photographs? Yeah, I’m sure this elusive creature will quietly come out and pose for your camera! In the early 1960s I went back home to Indiana and a bunch of them our family went on a picnic. Well one of my three year old cousins came up missing. We searched all afternoon for him but could not find him. The search was called off during the night because of heavy rains that came. The next day he was found standing on the side of the road. They asked him how did you stay dry and warm because it was cold. He said “the big animal took care of me” He was showed pictures of bears and said “no not like that” then he was ask “what did it look like” and he said “like a giant human with hair all over their body”.
What do you think it was

I believe it's sasquatch who took care of those kids.

In the last story it was said that her footprints merged with large bear prints. Could it be a sasquatch saved her from a bear and then cared for her?

I think people underestimate the compassion animals can show. If the bear isn't hungry and doesn't see you as a threat it's not going to attack you. And if you consider it might be a momma bear with out its cubs for what ever reason it could consider a child close enough . Hell I've seen a tiger nurse piglets lol

The earlier period stories, the ones before the 20th century, when the wilderness was still wild and untouched and things deep in the woods weren’t bothered by loud industrial noises and deforestation.
