    Hi there Gil, I just want to stress, I don't Endorse many Aquarium products yet, but the WMHB still enjoys my Full Support!!!
    also I'm somewhat stunned that your tank full of well fed muscle fish, is anywhere near 5ppm N03 to start with. I'll keep close tabs on the BCB progress :)

    Just saw this, I don’t get the notifications for everyone’s videos for some reason, and your videos are definitely a little more professionally done hehhe 👌🏾👌🏾
    Keen to see these results.
    How did you find the bio home went with nitrates ? It’s quite expensive from what I’ve seen and well for the size I’d need I would like to make sure it works before trying it.
    I still have some tweaking to do with the bogs as well tho and patience is not my strong suit.
    Keen to see your updates on your bcbs 👍🏼

    • @Gilsfishroom
      @Gilsfishroom  2 роки тому

      I wouldn't rush out and get biohome just yet as results were inconclusive. I also have 2 bcb bags in a canister filter on an empty tank to which I'm adding clear ammonia like you did. Should be interesting. 🤔

    Converted an eheim 2217 to bcb and another 6x6 basket put in sump to my 120 gallon tank. After 2 years, is save to said bcb do not work in bringing down nitrate. Pls don't waste ur time.

    • @Gilsfishroom

      G'day Andy, my basket seems to be slowing the increase in nitrates. 7 weeks after my last water change nitrates are around 20ppm.

    Gil, what is BCB?

    • @Gilsfishroom
      @Gilsfishroom  2 роки тому +1

      Biocenosis Clarification Basket. It uses clay (usually kitty litter) and iron to draw ammonia out of the water and complete the nitrogen cycle with anoxic filtration. If it works it means no nitrates. Look up Dr Kevin Novak for more info.

    • @Gilsfishroom

      The beauty of this Ross is that the water flows around the basket not through it. Therefore it would work in even a swimming pool size sump like yours! How are your Pandas?
