I’m sharing all of these with my son… he’s a sous chef and wants food prints on all his clothes, loves donuts and aliens and cheeseburgers and basically the same things you do. He’s also a little silly and a lot of fun like you. He used to do some thread painting when we lived together and he had my machine. Maybe if he sees enough of this he’ll want to pick up quilting again. I have a machine waiting for him if he does! Thanks for the fun!
Honestly, the best quilt I have ever seen. It's not about symmetry or precision or colour or any of those things - it's about meaning and significance and creativity. Thanks Dave - that's inspirational.

I have seen so many 100 block/100 day quilts, yours is the most memorable! It is hard (in my opinion) to make them cohesive. And you see people abandon (understandably) their initial impulses and end up with at least 3 or 4 ideas, some conflicting. Your picture was so global, it ended up being cohesive and mesmerizing at the same time. I really enjoyed watching this come together. Your intense thought processes for each block is still giving to others a year later. That has got to feel good. Even though you are likely so over it.

I'm making my way through all of your videos. This is a lovely quilt and so nice that GnomeAngle commented also. A couple of years ago I made quilts for my 2 granddaughters and all of their 7 children. I sewed together 9 patch blocks out of the scraps from each quilt and saved them all for a future quilt. My old sewing machine died that year and had to be replaced and some blocks were made with different machines (that does not work well, by the way). When I pulled them all out to finally make my quilt for me, they were not the same sizes. My solution was to do what you did and sash each block with 2" strips and then trim them each down to a matching size. I can see the wonkiness, but I doubt it will be apparent to others who don't quilt. I also love to use flannel for backings. You can get flannel sheets on sale after Christmas. I just pick up the king size sheets in any colors I like and save them for quilts. Thank you for sharing.

Your whole quilt is a work of art! It is stunning! I bought this pattern and pulled together Many fat quarters. I think I made about 35 blocks and have about 20 more that I have picked the fabric for. Maybe before I leave this world, I will finish it!

How exciting! I’m doing it too-up to block 50 now. I’ve redone a few as I discovered some of my fabric choices were “off”, and they are all easy enough to sew that I feel like it’s okay to switch. Love your window idea!

Thank you! I spent the 100 days making the blocks and sewed *most* of the sashing and blocks together during that time, kind of as I went along and then I finished the quilt on the weekend at the end of the 100 days.
Hey Mr. Dave where did you get all that cool fabric? I live in a small town in Louisiana. Most of my fabrics come from Walmart. I have never seen fabrics like the ones you used. They are totally awesome. Where can i find fabrics with those cool graphics like yours?
