    Won't have to worry about some one taking off your mirrors when they move their truck.

    Wow...very impressive and I like that you still have the actual mirrors nearby just in case the cameras have an issue.

    I seen this today on a Mavrick truck, he still had the Westcoast mirrors on both sides. The look is very clear on the monitors inside the cab.

    So, what happens when you're driving down the road and the system goes down?

    • @devonjohnson8111

      The same thing if your mirror broke while driving, pull over. You should be in the right lane anyways.

      Drivers have spare mirrors in their truck that they can bolt on in the case of an emergency.

      "Trucks should be in the right lane anyway" says the 4 wheeler with a weak class e license. 🙄

      A good reason why I'm glad I'm no longer with Schneider. Stupid safety drivers that agree to hazards that mak driving harder than it needs to be. What's easier is to just have the mirror 🪞 on them anyway. This way cops don't get confused and you're still able to drive if the electronics go bad. 🙄

      Same thing that happens when Swift knocks your mirror off at a truck stop

  • @jlintonorlando

    It’s a little less turning of the head that way you keep more of your attention on the road and not taking your eyes off every 5 to 8 seconds checking your mirrors

  • @jlintonorlando

    Yeah I like the fact that this trucking company is going above and beyond with the technology you can actually help with safety as well if you think about it. During rain sleet or snow you’ll still have a clear picture. We had these on our tow trucks

    • @armybeef68
      @armybeef68 3 роки тому +1

      You do realize the rain, sleet, or snow can still get on the lens? Right?
      No, of course you don't.

      @@armybeef68 Aren’t you just a cocky arrogant one. Those types of things are evident which is why they carry the mirrors in the trucks as well and those were covered in the previous comments if you cared even read any of them

    I drove for a different carrier that had these and I can tell you from experience they are nice to have and they are quite a bit better then the actual mirrors.

    how is it at night, is it just a full white screen when headlights come up beside you? also, what about when it rains or misty conditions and the camera gets wet; wouldn't the mirrors have been better? just asking..

    Oof no way could I get used to that, I've bever seen em firsthand but judging from this video, I don't like the thought of a glare on those screens or on the camera lens, then there's what looks to me like lag from Live to the screen and wonder what Hz the screen/camera is at, if there's any lag there..

    • @mistertitus6814
      @mistertitus6814 Рік тому

      No lag. And no glare, surprisingly. It's got an excellent anti-glare coating. No sun glare either.

    I'm uneasy about the idea because I will lean to quickly scan sides.
    I'm confident you can move the camera with a button but that means you don't use those muscles and that's less time with both hands on the steering wheel.
    If you're only goal is to save fuel? It's okay.
    I must disagree when I think about the larger picture.

    Terrible idea. I drive on a dedicated Account for Schneider. And going up at the mountains with no physical mirror I don’t think I would stick around on the Account. Aamir we know for the past hundred years works in the snow sleet rain hail. But electronic devices we all know have a greater potential exponentially to not work when we need them the most. I love my smart phone TV all the stuff. But every electronic device I have ever owned except for my original PlayStation from 2000 has failed at some point. Schneider I work for you and I’m asking you not to put this on the trucks

      Bolt the optional mirror on in the rain sleet snow and mountain. Take them off on nice days.
