NY Fluke 2024 Season Opener - An Optimistic Start!!!!!!!!

May 4, 2024 is not just Stars Wars Day, it's also the happiest day of the year for many New Yorkers that have been dealing with cold weather for the better part of 6 months. Yes, May 4th represents the opening of the fluke season in NY!
On this day, John Skinner was gracious enough to take me out (again) while my new boat awaits some final work at the boatyard.
And while by no means a banner day, it certainly was an optimistic one as we totaled 11 shorts and only 1 sea robin! As the water warms and more bait gets pushed in, things should only improve!
