Decades worth of amazing GD concerts at the Capitol that I've listened to and now hearing this Tumble jam. Great live music exists, you just have to find it.
it def feels like decades even if they only played shows over the span of less that year in port chester. the cap in passaic was a dump from what ive read but the energy in the smaller theaters is unmatched. goose definitely keeping those vibes alive.
Tumble is my favorite goose song. I love the lyrics and it's message about picking yourself up and perseverance. This jam is incredible and was the best of the Cap run in my opinion. The funky section to start and then an amazing bliss section had me feeling amazing in the crowd. Thank you, Goose for everything you guys do and rocking out!
The way Pete brings in the keys to build on Rick's Marvin Gaye jam (a hybrid of What's Going On and Mercy Mercy Me) is just genius and then the whole band is in on it (minutes 11-16). And though I only caught one of these four great shows, this was the one I attended (and after this Tumble ended the first set I had to pick up my jaw off the floor).
I’ve been jamming to this version since it happened and have most of it memorized now. That slow melodic part sandwiched between two funk jams is where it’s at!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Mixed many a Blue Oyster Cult show here back in de' day. I really enjoyed the musicians and this song-journey in the best jam band tradition. Let's give HUGE props to the lighting designer as well.
@@dylnthmsn420 I would agree that Trevor sounds significantly better. To be honest, I was a fan of goose before cotter, but I heard the Ted Tapes and went HOLY SHIT and found out it was a new drummer. I did not have an attachment to Ben, and with that bias gone I can tell you that cotter brings something special to the band for sure!

Peter's rhythm playing coming out of the composed portion and into the jam is tight - really adds such a crucial dimension to the sound
YESSS , also Rick's tone is noticeably different with the Fender, his guitar vibes with that amp very differently than the JP Boogie he has
5:18 to enter the Tumble-funk.
Never lost my mind at a goose show quite like I did during this song. 24 minutes of greatness
Agree 100% Don't think I shook my hips quite as much as during this insane GROOOOOOOOOVE!
This is the one to beat.
I could watch Cotter play drums all day. He's so in the pocket
Cotter really quelled any reservations that folks may have had with this Tumble! See you boys in Portland!

Damn. Trevor was slapping the piss out of that thing
Yas! I was hoping this would get a feature. Song of the run imo.

Ben used to play this SOOOO much better IMO
Then why does Trevor sound so much better? Ben ain't walking through that door kid. Move on, or keep it moving!
Ben was a nice fellow, but Cotter is clearly better for this job.

This is fast food / drive thru music....Grose
When is your band playing at the Cap?
It's funny to see the silly haters try to flex, especially when they have names like Barclay.
