The 7.62 that the tank destroyers are carrying is actually the shorter round used by the PPSH submachine guns. The soviets must have loved that diameter considering they made at least 3 totally different bullets all 7.62mm wide lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You're spot on, it is for the tank riders. If our host had looked a bit closer he would have spotted that the writing is a slightly different shade of green.
Your AFVs veering off to the right during the first turn was very strange. But, at least they sorted themselves out in the next turn. .... Meanwhile what happened to "Amiens Tonight"?
I suspect because it had a hunt command instead of move and maybe the enemy tank being spotted made it veer off towards it to face its frontal armour ?

It'll be back. Slight detour in RT for this one, then I owe a Black Sea then back to Amiens. Some might say I've spread myself a little thin.
