It's funny how the US thinks it can make China do or not do anything. Have they forgotten how they've been walking on eggshells where China is involved? The fact that that woman is am employee of the TV station makes her extremely brave.
I think everyone collectively has decided to ignore the eggshells. We are potentially entering a third world war. Gotta make intentions clear. I do think it was weird to publicly announce it though instead of just sending an ambassador to tell China. Kind of forces them into a corner to react in opposition to show strength.
It's just home talk most likely. I don't think us officials are brain dead enough to think they can order China around and not pay a huge price. So they'll mostly ask nicely during the actual procedure.

China won't get involved in the war with Ukraine. As someone who has travelled extensively and studies geopolitical history, past and present, China is an emerging power whereas Russia is on the decline economically.
China won't involve in the war but it will definitely help Russia economy and possibly provide defensive military aid to prevent the worst case of NATO invasion, because China need Russia to cover it's back against the US.
You probably never think about what would happen to China after Russia fall.

The worst case is NATO will expend into middle Asia and directly threat China north west border while US fleets threat the entire coastline.

China and Russia are allies only superficially but actually are rivals. If Russia looses, China wins. If Russia wins, China wins. It's hard to accept, but true.
Russians are finding a way to get their message and content out. The people I follow have been quite vocal about their views about the invasion.
Edit: Loads of people with their own agenda not actually reading what I wrote. For Russians to speak out against the invasion is dangerous to say the least, and yet, the Russian people I follow are doing so despite the risk. Anyone who sees this as trivial I can't help.

Establishing a Ukraine no fly zone would be near impossible without escalating the conflict.
There's "star wars" and other missile defence systems available though.
The same level of escalation has already been reached, though. What do you think follows, if Russia shoots a rocket at deliveries of munitions from Poland, killing the Polish transport? Poland likely won't be told, nor listen if told, to NATO saying 'forget that happened'.

It seems only one side has moral/principle limitations, resistance to hurting innocents, and resistance escalating the destruction. My heart goes out to Russian influencers who lost their Facebook and Instagram accounts. It’s hard coming back down to reality after being a fiction on social media/online for years. Losing their followers hit harder than losing the money. They never cared about the the poor Ukrainian people but now are understanding what’s really going on out there outside of their bubble of likes and subscribers. 😂🤣😭

Its shown, that no matter how independent u think, u are, we all live in a global world, whether we like it or not, whether we want to admit it or not, and its time to act accordingly.
