  • The Beara Peninsula is a sparsely populated wild corner of Ireland in County Kerry and Country Cork. Our adventures take us to Gougane Barra, a scenic valley in the Shehy Valley of County Cork. Then around the Ring of Beara, a 92 mile road that follows the coast line of the peninsula. We stop at Allihies to learn about copper mining in the 18th century. Then on to Garnish Island, a garden estate developed in the early 20th century.

A beautiful place to live. I hope I captured a small part of its beauty in my brief video.

I hope ye are all well in Ammerikia. You should have researched the prounciations of the place names. I hope all the native Basstonians enjoy your video. Well captured but poorly voiced. I wish you well.

Sorry to tell you but your pronunciations are totally off. You need to get those right if you intend doing tour reviews on Ireland. I do know what I am talking about. I am Irish..live here from day I was born and adore my country.

I adore your country too. I hope to spend some more time there so I can get my tongue around the place names better. Thanks for the comment.

I paused at 23 seconds. And now I'm going to switch off. You lost me as a viewer as soon as you totally mispronounced Gougane Barra. You made no effort to find out how it should be pronounced.
