I've had a patent on this process for a many years which ended up in the NY state supreme court against Peavey Drums who tried to make a similar drum.Please go to www.americanpercussion.com to see the drums using this technique and part of the patent filing. It's called multi-annular ring construction.
I suggest you switch the wing to the bottom on the 2-4 lugs closest to you to prevent from hitting them... Good work!
I like the idea of basically incorporating the lugs into the shell itself. I've been thinking about trying something similar. Interesting build!
