I also started a BoC army using Bestarium's minis. I had bought other models from them but their announcement of the first Beastmen release I subbed, they are amazing.
I'm happy I showed up for you as well!! It's great to find like minded individuals to join my community! I have plenty of new projects coming so stay tuned!! 😃
I got the same 3 sets from Bestiarum, and then augmented it with some monsters from Clay Beast Creation. You can also reverse the X axis to get seemingly unique models.
Thanks!! I mostly only play with friends, so I haven't run into any issues. At the same time, I do have armies that are 100% GW models in case I decide to try out a tournament or two. I still find that 3d printing is a huge benefit for those armies even if it's just for basing bits!
Yes I too went the way of the 3d Printer. GW's prices are far too high. I bought an Elegoo as well, they have awesome machines. I would encourage everyone to go this route.
Thanks! You know what? I think I may have filmed making that base, so yeah, I think I can do that. Probably wont come out until Nov though, my videos are planned out in advance.
Finally got the video showing how I created the Cygor base out today!! If you're interested go check it out! Thanks!!! 😃 ua-cam.com/video/brQyezW5wSc/v-deo.html
Woot, did the same thing. Love these models. I'm using clay beast dragon ogres and beastmen skeletons from avatars of war for my gors. Still need to figure my color scheme
Bestiaruim are amazing I have been with them for nearly as long as they have been around :-) I love them, they also do some great stuff for Forbidden Psalm and DnD. I am going to be using some of their DnD stuff for my Mork Borg games use hooks and monsters since Forbidden Psalm is using Mork Borg stats anyway! :-) just use the hooks and basic ideas of the story.
Thank you! Nope, I didn't need to resize anything. Though, truth be told the tuskgor chariot that I printed is on a larger base then GW's but I do believe that when (if) they ever update that model it will be on a bigger base. Currently every other chariot in AOS is on a 120x92mm base and that happens to be the default base size for the model I printed so I went with it.
How many work hours did it take to get the whole army to the point where you were going to prime it approximately? IE: the cleaning the printer, setting it up, loading the models, printing them, cleaning them off, removing supports, etc etc. All the way until they were built and ready to be primed.
Hello @alexfilmer8522, it's difficult to quantify time spent seeing I usually have multiple projects going at one time. I'm going to say about 40-50 hours, probably an hour per build plate for slicer, cleaning, and curing. Then, maybe another hour per build plate for the basing and I probably printed 20 to 25 build plates. I could be way off though. lol I think I would get it done much quicker now with the Saturn 2 8k. I could probably cut the number of build plates in half. It ended up taking me probably a month, month and a half to print the whole army, mostly just working on it on the weekends. Hope this helps....
@@DePlatypus-Inator Anytime! Just to make sure we're on the same page, that estimate does not include print time as you can do other things while that's happening. I do think that building all the GW models would take quite a while as well. 😉
@@proxyhobby I deliberately dropped out and passed on these so I could stay strong and finish my vampires and their hordes army with Bestiarium hordes of maneaters and twisted pilgrims
@@proxyhobby Then resin printing is the only way to afford a table sized army as a family man with balanced priorities. So bestiarium for the tortured hordes and archvillian and infinite heroes for the vampires and ghouls is the way to a stunning table filling swarm that looks a lot better than GW women with bats in their hair!
I love bestiarium games and esspacially the beast men range. but living in a 45 square meter appartment makes it impossible for me to buy a 3d printer and live, sleep and work in resin fumes lol
I not agree to saving money with 20 buck resin. This is not at all same product than GW. If you want really great product, it's 70-80 bucks resin (phrozen, resione ect) and total is not the same (but still cheaper, thankfully, you use precious time to make that) I have dozen of printer, and I will rever recommand someone to start printing to save money, this must not be the driving force behind motivation. It's time and work, same you use to paint or play, never forget.

I agree, I think they are one of the best miniature sculptors out there!
ok ok, this is awesomely straight forward when it comes to recognizing the original model behind it while giving it modern look & a dark twist
For sure! Works perfectly! Thanks for checking out this video as well! 😀
Another great video loving you give kitbashing tips too
I love kitbashing, even with 3d printing! It's both challenging and rewarding at the same time!
Im really happy this has appeared on my 'for you' , lovely to meet you pal. Excited to see what other projects you're working on.

Once again "Proxies' look so much better!!!
I'll agree with that all day long! 🤘

Nice! I will check them out! Good point, I should have mentioned that! lol
Awesome! I'm a Bestiarum subscriber too.
Sweet! Love their aesthetic!
Love the video mate army looks so good amazing results. Id love to 3d print my army but im worried abot not being able to field my models

Could provide a 3d printer recommendation for someone new to printing?
I'm a huge fan of the Elegoo line of printers. If I were starting out now, I would probably pick up the Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra. Good luck!!

I wholeheartedly agree!!
Can you do a basing tutorial? Your cygor base looks incredible

Sweet! That sounds really cool!
Would you have any recommendations for a good skaven army i don't know where to start to find models
I will certainly look into this! With AOS 4th edition featuring skaven I think there will be a lot of interest! Thank you!!

did yall have to do any scaling to meet GW sizing? amazing work btw

Guys what happened to Bestarium Miniatures websites?
Hmm....not sure. Hope it's resolved soon!!

As an Australian the math works out even better because the price of games workshop minis is far above the exchange rate.
Really? That's a real bummer! I feel for you! 3D printers to the rescue! 🤘
@@proxyhobby Yeah, according to conversion rates it should have been around 280-350. It was $420...
