My ‘23 M5C has the M Performance Exhaust. I don’t normally mind the cold start but there is a few occasions where I could do without it, like when I was leaving a funeral last week…it felt a little disrespectful. I wonder if they would install valves on an a non-Valvetronic exhaust?
@@TommyLGarage Thank Bob. I never really understood the appeal in it. If you're trying to cool the cylinders/exhaust valves between combustion cycles on the track, it makes perfect sense. In public, it's just a cry for attention. I'm not saying people buy these for the farts. There's a lot to like with the latest couple generation Bimmers. I just don't understand why/how people actually like the sound.
I’m having trouble really finding a difference in sound between factory LCI Comp vs. Valvetronic on all the videos. Aside from the ability to open/close valves on the fly and affect pops/bangs, does the actual system sound different (not only louder) vs. LCI Comp? Thanks.
It’s definitely noticeable especially with valves open. Add a set of secondary downpipes and you’ll have yourself an insane sounding machine! (In a good way)
i just got my uniden radar is that a blendmount i see you got there i need that but it sure is expensive at 130usd but it seems worth it what do you think?

@@TommyLGarage I’m still debating this exhaust or akraprovic but by watching your video I’m leaning towards valvetronic! I had this setup on my e93 m3 (straight pipe, removed cat). It smell so badly but the sound was just undeniable the best!

MP exhaust cannot be retrofitted with valves but you can just install the rear box section. Or I can sell you my valved Dinan

Nope. Same stuff. At cold start when you select valves closed they still remain open
Sounds amazing. Tune out the farts and burps, and it's pretty much perfect.
Farts disappear when I press the exhaust button into the off position

No smell. I kept by downpipes with cats.
