This early-mid 90's era covering the albums "Nothing But a Burning Light" through "The Charity of Night" was peak Bruce Cockburn both artistically and with his technical guitar playing to me.

It's incredible how many great songs are on the CD/LP 'The Charity of Night'. And in line with the treasures on "Nothing But A Burning Light". I so treasure Professor Cockburn. He has clearly followed the direction of Bob Dylan's edict, and 'painted his masterpiece'.
Saw Bruce playing this album (Charity) just after it had come out in Montreal at the Jazz Festival and for a change we had great seats. I really enjoyed the show though my wife less so as she prefers his acoustic and folk music.
@ Mark Trela: I agree -- the album version is good, but this is great! Watching the two of them play together is so much fun -- more so when they get a little off, and just grin about it.
@@christopherpackard8095 I'm afraid I haven't found much for this tune except the easy versions of this tune such as chordify.net/chords/bruce-cockburn-see-how-i-miss-you-austin-city-limits-jack-cockburn. If I find anything I'll let you know.
@@christopherpackard8095 Not sure if it was there but one B.C. site had the tunings to some of his songs. For this tune they have the A string tuned to C. I couldn't figure out why so I didn't mention it.
Anyone know what type of guitar Bruce and Colin are playing here...looks like it has some type of cool resonator plate in the top-right corner...dunno if that's what's responsible for the great tone here or just good effect processing...

Lovely, lovely...like it even more than the version on the CD!

Me, too! This is a superb version!
So great to watch them both playing! I love this song -- very droll, with a little political undertone (of course -- it's Bruce!), and great guitars!

KOOEL 🤗
Nothing But A Burning Light is one of my 7 or 8 favorite BC albums, however, this song appeared on 'World of Wonders'.
Gen-Xer just getting acquainted with the work of Cockburn. Where was I? Better late than never.
Well then you've got a lot of "NEW" music to listen to.
ı miss you my love:( robert
awesome! BC U R Da Man!
@TorontoLarrivee
and Colin is so very enthusiastic about the music.
Great
Ah good you're back ;)
Yeah, that happens a lot!
Wow, matching Godin models!
The guitars in question are Canadian made Godin
Don't suppose you have the inside track to a guitar tab? My searching so far has proved pretty fruitless

@@guitarstrunged Much appreciated, I'll keep an eye out too! If you're interested there was a "yahoo BC group" which had a plethora of tabs.
