It´s like seeing a relationship evolve. You have the flirting fase in the Don´t MV and now they gave us the playfull more genuine side of them. Is it only me or they seem genuinly happy to do this MV. Loco looks really good after the military service, he looks fresh and Hwasa, girl! She Queen. From a leo to another leo with a lot of love.
I love how the MV doesn't follow the dark, excessive bright color, nor glamour aesthetics that I've seen happening these days. It has its own weird, quirky, uniqueness with the floating burgers (honestly, they're such scene stealers!). The whole concept within a neighborhood also gives me comfortable feeling and it kinda shows that you don't have to film in an expensive place to get extraordinary shoot.
You might want to look up music videos by Michel Gondry, especially his work for Bjork. The shot with the puppets lifted by a crane is quite reminiscent of his style.
I don't speak a word of Korean although I'm a huge fan of Kpop. And I'm not really a fan of rap. But there's something about Loco's voice, infliction and flow. When he raps it sounds like he's singing not just rapping. Also his tone ( to my ears ) is not too high nor low. Just right. Unassuming yet sounds so good. Of course Hwasa what hasn't been said about her. She's wonderful. Song's got a cool chill vibe.
