People defending the priest. It's not like she was alone. There was an entire group of people standing in safety healing back up. They had a clear visual signal of where to go to not take more damage.
The priest that Asmon called out for standing far away? That positioning is safe. The only difference if he would have moved into the group would have been him missing out on 2~ heals on people. Would just be a missplay to move into the middle there. He did exactly what he should and healed people up and then moved.

@@andrewgrow5711 I mean the guy disconnected and when things dont go according to plan people make mistakes. This happens in basically everything. Is it hard to understand?
Not a player either. Basically, they all take the 4 bosses to the corner. Each boss has a different AOE curse or debuff. That debuff takes more damage overtime and upon death, has another. The center where everyone is standing is Switzerland. Move out of that position and take damage, then die. I’m sure it’s more complicated than that, but that’s my understanding of the fight and what he said. Keep in mind, these people have played for potentially years or months with these characters. It’s a potential of about 30k or more hours lost. I would guess it’s more, but just imagine you’ve been playing Halo or Skyrim since it came out at the same rate of play on release- that’s some WOW players. It’s people with 10k hours each, with the bonus of playing on hardcore so that characters or save file is deleted.
Need 4 tanks for each of the 4 bosses, and the tank in the dwarf and the evil guy need to swap. The girl in the back needs to die first because her attacks get stronger and can’t be mitigated as easily. Once she’s dead the guys fighting her go split up between the dwarf and the evil guy. It doesn’t matter who dies first but people typically go for the dwarf first. Once both of them are dead, they go to the last guy in the back corner. He’s the worst of them all because he has an attack that can chain onto other players. If they’re too close to each other when he fires it and they get hit, it could bounce to other players and nuke the entire raid so melee needs to be super careful filtering in. A rule is to typically ban melee from entering the back corner and forcing ranged players to just deal with it, spread out wide of course. Thats basically the fight. The tank and the evil guy need to swap targets every so often so their attack doesn’t do too much damage to the tanks and kill them. Same with the evil girl and the not as evil guy in the back. The reason the girl and the not so evil guy are in the back and focused first is because they don’t move ever, they are spell casters whereas the dwarf and evil guy are melee and will run around.
The few characters I made on hardcore wow were a blast tbh. I never made it past lvl 40 as Im not too experienced and can get sidetracked easily but the adrenaline rush you get when in a tight spot is incredible. Getting out of the tight spot or saving someone is the best when you know all your time on the character is on the line. Feels like shit when you die (especially to a stupid reason) but Id say it’s worth a go if the server is populated.

never played WoW but in Lineage 2 i was all three. i always pretend that players are NPCs whenever we're doing bosses or clan war. the moment they start showing human traits, something is bound to go wrong. but like Asmon said, there should always be a contingency when the tank DC or the leader DC so that the raid doesnt fail. a secondary lead/tank is supposed to take charge of the situation immediately and in Lineage 2, boss agro can switch in a heartbeat if not maintained properly.
I’m Tentoo, one of the mages who died here. In retrospect we could have done a lot differently- mage port in the beginning, made specific calls to get to the safe zone and hearth or just full send Mograine, but ultimately our raid lead dcing on the most important moment in the most intense fight of classic where most of us had never played vanilla/era ever created a massive problem. Our raid leader opted to create the same raid environment you described in your raids- he talks and leads while we don’t say anything. This usually works out, but it is HC and especially this fight it creates a single point of failure which snowballed out of control. Since our raid lead dced and he was the one making the healer calls, our healer rotations were botched and since we throttled Thane we got an extra stack or two. Could we have done some things differently, sure. But no one wanted to jump ship early or make the call to safe zone and hearth, so it created a lot of issues. I ended up full sending it on mograine in the end as I knew we were going down with the ship. RIPBOZO! Asmon you should play Hardcore, would love to see how far you get

It was FFXIV that taught me how effective raids actually work. Every person has to know precisely what their job is. Otherwise they will drag you down with them. The whole problem is the calls had to be made in those first 30-40 seconds. It takes that long to confirm a player has DC. By then the heater rotation is already scuffed. People defending the priest. It's not like she was alone. There was an entire group of people standing in safety healing back up. They had a clear visual signal of where to go to not take more damage.
The priest that Asmon called out for standing far away?

17:45 exactly

Comment doesn’t make much sense, “this is why raids shouldnt be hard at all, literal mouth breathers here drolling on themselves” that’s redundant lol, Raids should be hard, they’re the top tier of PvE content in the game, and it makes perfect sense that people would wipe to the most notorious boss in the game, especially with complications like a dc that’s out of anyone’s control, I don’t really understand the toxicity towards random people dying in their own guild run of a game none of us are willing to play lol
"How do you kill one which has no life?" the intro reminded me of🤣
How does this guy go "my internets down" while still talking on discord?
is there a discord app for phones? (I honestly don't know)
is it possible his router reset or crashed lost power temporarily or whatever, but he still had cell service
as one of the member of the guild he log on he's cellphone
Do you guys not have phones?
Imagine Tiny Violin releases a POV of him DCing the raid lead killing half this raid group...
Judgement Day p3 😂
Ah fuck here we go again
Actually F result for the raid, They should've all died.
Proof positive that a good tank is the rock that all other players rely on. Without that leader, the troops are aimless and cannot perform their jobs.
So all those skeletons in dungeons are not just for show?
my guess is the off tanks were afraid to taunt, because then they'd catch the main tank's aggro. you're really not supposed to question the main tank, ever, even if it means losing your char
What makes this even better is that ANYONE else could have DC'd and the outcome would have been different. The ONE KEY person that would have caused a kill, was the one that DC'd.
It also goes to prove that classic is the easiest expansion if 39/40 people dont know what they are doing, and still reach the 3rd final boss of the expansion.
why do so many people say classic is the best
These comments always come from people who never played Classic back then. Do you think there was anywhere near as much information as there is today? All the classes weren't even like they were in Classic a few years ago.
@@AcidGubba ... and that somehow means its not easy now?
How many expansions do you kill a raid boss 2 levels BELOW the intended level?
How many expansions do you kill a raid boss... naked?
How many expansions do you kill a raid boss with less than HALF the intended people?
I may not have played it when i was 6 years old, but that doesnt mean I didnt play it when it released again.
Some parts were hard, absolutely, but raiding is not hard at all. Most bosses have 2 or 3 mechanics, if that (that the individual has to pay attention to).
@@justanobody0 I think its a mixture between how the game world is actually alive and how the game evolved from day one release.
modern day expansions is: Hit max, get high ilvl, raid/m+, wait for next expansion.
in classic you actually interact with the world much more than in retail and world pvp adds a lot more than people think, combined with events like scarab lord, world buff farming, consumable/gold farming etc. that is always relevent despite not being absolutely required to be able to down bosses. That and the fact that leveling is like playing an entirely different game (early release, before all the botting).
@@lekrieg8618 But it wasn't the same game. All the classes were constantly being changed one after the other and they were much weaker. Scholomance had 10 people and ubrs had 15. It was a completely different game and you won't be able to reproduce it anymore. There weren't as many mods telling you what was going to happen when.
I was raiding naxx back then and most people had never seen naxx or aq40 in classic times. Why do you think so few guilds cleared naxx before bc? Do you think the people were all bad?
I was in the horde guild progenis infernalis as an orc hunter on aegwynn and that was not a casual guild.
