This series just cements my love for Eastman. I have their guitar products, and they are world class.

I still love my Eastman parlor guitar after 10 years. Opened and aged beautifully. It still inspires me every time I pick it up. Keep up the great work! 🙏❤️⚡️

Braces being scalloped are so satisfying to watch. I'm hoping there will be a classical range added soon.

I love my Eastman ar175ce p90 archtop. It's undeniably one of the finest instruments that I have ever picked up. I definitely will be buying another Eastman.... I'm looking at their SB55 and their gypsy jazz models.

I have an E6SS-TC and can't believe how nicely made it is, the Ebony fretboard is so smooth down the edges and the fret ends are perfect, no snags when playing at all, it's so rich and balanced and rings like a bell, it's a real pleasure to own.

They are really good guitars, no denying that. I love my E40om-sb!

I have been absolutely stunned with my Eastmans. 2 months ago, I had none. I bought a SB58/TV, fell in love, and now have 4. Well, 3 with 1 on the way. The Eastman L00QS (00 Acoustic) is seriously one of the most beautiful and best-sounding guitars I've ever played. Makes an ass out of my 3-series Taylor, both in playability and tone. The SB55V is a wonderful alternative to an SG. Waiting on my first Eastman mandolin now. The Acoustic Shoppe is a fantastic dealer as well, if you're looking on who to buy from.

My acoustic will be an Eastman, good prices for handmade guitars made by serious workers, solid woods... Everything sounds and looks good 👍

At 0:28 I thought that he was kissing the guitar and I, as an Eastman owner, was thinking yes! That is what I want to see haha

Clearly Eastman guitars are quality instruments....and to the smallest details! I loooove these instruments, in part because I know that the folks that build them are pouring themselves into the product.....and they play well, very well! Although, they do make some what I consider minor and somewhat comical mistakes that do not affect the tone or my desire to own and play them, but they do make me shake my head. I view them as simple details that have to do with growing a superior quality culture....It doesn't happen over night, and has to be cultivated (continues Improvement culture.)
The challenge for Qian Ni and Eastman Guitars will be now that they have "Arrived" will they continuously improve on the individual Artistic Luthier skills, or will they succumb to the pressures that always rails against artistic creativity. The notion of production demand$.
For me as a Lefty, I wonder, will they continue to serve the Left-handed guitarist equally, or will they reduce and diminish those stocks to meet the demands of Right handed back orders as this new and strange Covid business climate has created.....but in all fairness, their quality & price point (value) has lead the demand.
IMO, It is a colossal mistake to chase the dollar over artistic capacity when maintaining quality that is founded on those skills. But i am saying this from an Artist perspective, of products that are built from an artist perspective. While it may free up production bottlenecks, it can also diminish the qualities that brought them to the place they are.....for the Righty and Lefty guitars.
"History doesn't repeat itself, but it often Rhymes" ~ Mark Twain
And as the late Gust Avrakotos would say........ "Hey, listen to what I'm tellin' ya" & "We'll see"!

I really want to know about worker treatment, compensation and workplace conditions for the craftsmen at Eastman. I have multiple of their guitars but I am worried about their general silence about how they treat their workers. Because if they were fairly compensated and not treated like sweat shop labourers, I'm sure Eastman would brag about it. I wish there was a third party evaluation of the conditions, when they're not putting on a show for videos.

Mostly you can see on the result (in this case the instruments) how the company is treating their craftsmen and women.

Gibson doesn't have to brag about their workers not being mistreated. Why would Eastman have to?

Do you also care about the condition of the people that made the computer that you wrote this comment on or probably half the stuff you own?

There’s no argument. Eastman runs with the big dogs. Especially after they became majority shareholders of Bourgeois. They’re taking their ideas and using them. Of course they’re building a superior guitar cheaper.

I really want an Eastman guitar....I get tired of everyone bashing the Chinese because they are eating America's lunch when it comes to manufacturing high quality goods. I would put a Premium Eastman up against a Martin any day.

    • @thefreese1
      @thefreese1 8 місяців тому

I don't know about Martin . But I would put them up against Taylor. Taylor is way Overpriced . Ever get ahold of a Taylor and the strings are too close to the body ?
Do you know why that is ? Because when they are setting the neck angle and the straight edge sets a little too low to the bridge , 😮they just sand down the bridge ...
Its a freaking bolt on neck and they are too lazy to unbolt it and put the right shim in place...
Bolt on necks just suck for tone . Mainly because the steel fasteners and the shims absorb some of the vibrations that transfer to the top
This doesn't matter with a solid body electric but it does on an accoustic.
By the way Both Martin and Taylor's lower priced 3/4 and parlors sound like tin trash can lids.. because they have plywood tops . But they sure charge a lot because of the name.

@@thefreese1 I thought the same about taylor....Never been a fan of the high pressure laminate..

    • @thefreese1

@@LongTrout yeah . I went looking for a 3/4 travel guitar.. when to the big local music shop . I had a baby Taylor, a Martin Jr and a Luna ..
That cheap Luna had a spruce top and sounded like a full size 000 .. it also had a cheap Fishman pickup in it that sounded decent.
The baby Taylor you couldn't make half the chords because the neck was so small and the thing sounded like metal almost.
The Martin had a decent neck but same thing on the tone . I had all 3 sitting beside me in the sound room there ..
The Luna sounds so good I have actually used it to a couple of venues while I was resetting the neck on my Martin DM . I do luthier work so I am quite aware of some of the "sneaky" things they get away with.
A luthier always knows . Seems like about 70% of the time there's something that was done wrong at the factory. That bridge thing I told you about Taylor is quite common
