Love Mr. Rucker, he addresses his ex-wife with such respect and love in his book and in interviews, it's beautiful. His mom was so pretty!

I hesitate to confess that though i listened to Hootie and the Blowfish songs on the radio i never watched any videos. Fast forward to today and listening to NPR and I just now learned that the lead singer is a Black man and he's also Darius Rucker! I wonder if anyone else made that error, lol! Always loved his voice and his songs!

I love the book. I've been a fan since CRV. You think you know much about a band you love. But no. This is a must read if your a fan. Last night I read the chapter about the last time his was was with her for the day he spent with her then with her when in a coma. Very sad. I lost my Mom recently and it is so relatable
Losing your mother is 😢 horrible and a club you don't want to be in.

Great interview up to the point when you started talking about people that “look like us”. Way to keep the racism in journalism!

NikonD3fan - Talking about racism doesn't perpetuate racism. Racists perpetuate racism. It needs to be called out until racists stop the their nonsense. It's that simple. ✌

@@NikonD3fanI earnestly wish ceasing to discuss racism would magically make it going way. Too bad it doesn't work that way. Nice thought though.😊

And that’s why I loved his anecdote about Woody Harrelson. Woody saved him from a dangerous rip current and has never wanted to talk about again. He did what he did for his friend, not the frontman for Hootie and the Blowfish.

What a joke his friends ask him to take something? Because they was moving. His lawyers has to be paid very well to come up with a answer like this. Can make this chit up.

he just continuously leads this sympathy driven "poor me" schtick like he's exempt from all things every other black person goes through....something about SOUTH CAROLINA (Tim Scott anyone?)

Ask yourself that. You have no clue what it's like to walk in another man's shoes, so don't attempt. SMH.
