Great Jota tee. I really hope Celtic go back to Japan for more talent. The Bhoys from Japan should always have a connection with the club 🍀💚🇯🇵
thanks @hacksaw
I totally agree we should go back to the Japanese market especially while we still have Japanese players at the club to ease their adaptation to Scotland. Daizen Maeda appears to be the one who has settled the best and he and his wife and kids have settled well and I do wonder if he will be the one who stays here for most or all his career. The great thing is that signing a Japanese player (or from MLS) is perfect in winter window as their season runs opposite to ours and so they have a few weeks off in December and January after 1 season ends and are just getting ready to start again when it is January into February and so J league clubs happily sell players in January as they can buy new players preseason rather than midseason if it is a UK or European league in January window
However Rodgers seems only to value the UK and European markets and doesn't seem to be looking to USA/Canada or Japan at this time

What a player. A joy to watch. Happy times. Thanks for your great video. Great memories. Keep up the good work David in all things celtic. Hail hail
@@StMarysparishCoatbridge Nakamura remains well up in my top 5 or 10 Celtic players of my 50 plus years as a supporter. He scored so many great goals and the 35 yarder against Rangers and free kick at Celtic park against Man United are both in my top 10 favourite goals of those 50 plus years. We were lucky to have him and it was a shame he moved on to Spain when still a very good player in our team

I genuinely believe Shunsuke was the best free kick taken in the world .A big statement compared to the likes of Del Piero , Beckham, etc.Ime not saying he was a better player (although he was very good) but if I had to pick a player to take one and my life depended on it (stay with me here)😂I would definitely pick Nakamura.Theres video of him taking a free kick from 20-25 yards into a moving bus with a single window open for a Japanese tv station..A trailblazer for Japanese football and a great Celt remembered fondly by many
thanks @clashmannumpty8678
there are a lot of football fans and pundits who would assess Nakamura as best ever and I haven't seen anyone better and did a lot of tricks like you describe needing perfect accuracy. His free kick against Man United at Celtic Park remains 1 of my all time best Celtic moments and was just the perfect free kick and he scored so many spectacular goals such as that 35 yarder against Rangers that swerved and dipped and flummoxed their goalie
Also amazing he kept on playing until 44 and only retired a couple years ago in October 2022. Truly one of the best ever for Celtic I've seen

@@David67-cn8mi I was behind the goal that night against Utd.magic
@@clashmannumpty8678
it was an amazing goal to see it on TV and to see it live must have been as you say magical. He had a tiny area to score into as the wall was well set up and jumped up and to get that shot up and down and curling and with a lot of pace right into the top corner took the highest level of skill and talent and he couldn't have placed it more perfectly
