Buccaneers/pirates is probably the only British ish sports theme on that list.
You could name the track and field stadium the Captain Track Sparrow stadium.
Chirpers could also be British.

I'd switch the locations of the dorms and the athletics. I think the dorms are undesirable as they are right next to the highway, where as by being on the other side they are in a quieter area and closer to the train station. Then you can link the T&F stadium closer to the highway which might ease traffic flow issues. Also the futsal club could be near the T&F stadium so you have sports in the same area.

perfect episode, as always, but i would turn around one of the deco paths in front of the universety, that way they would mirror each other, and if you look on the paths between the dormhouses at the uni, during a toga party, you'll see them walking around in togas

One suggestion that's missing from this build - can you get brick walls instead of fences? I feel like there's way more red brick walls everywhere in England around gardens, parks etc, and you could make some cool features out of that if there's a brick wall network on the Workshop.
Loving this city build Biffa! Would love to see a large botanical park in the style of Kew Gardens. Think it would fit the area well! Keep it in the British style and call it Queue Gardens 😁

Blighty is looking absolutely stunning! You're doing an amazing job at this, and I can personally say this IS my favourite UK style City in Cities Skyline. And I don't know about you, but the Blighty Buccaneers sounds very menacing. It may not match the Tea style, but it just sounds right!
Well they could have tea on the ships.
If an American team should visit or vice versa, you could be sure there would be Boston Tea Party reenactments taking place.

Important:
Biffa, your buildings such as the surgery/medical clinic, and police that have the name ND, Stand for no decoration, so they have no concrete, carparks, fences etc.
If you swap them out for the normal ones without ND on the end, they will look nicer.
Hey Biffa, can we call the University "Saint Blightea University", for lore purposes we can say Saint Blightea is the patron saint of Blightea on the Wold.

Lovely to watch you build! I really enjoyed the segments in this episode where you were building on timelapse. One suggestion: at 22:20, could you turn one of the parks by 180° so that they're symmetrical? 0:) thanks!
They are symmetrical. Well they have rotational and translational symmetry but not reflectional symmetry (line or mirror symmetry). ;)

Biffa the water situation - I think it’s down to the fact you have a water source and it’s also flowing in from actual river, maybe try lowering the water source, you need to open a new square to fix it fully
The art of stopping ripples or waves is lots of tiny water sources along the length of the river rather than one big one at the top. (According to BonBonB)
@@shaneintheuk2026 I don’t know about that, I’ve built loads of rivers and ponds and it’s never overflowed for me, but it’s always worth a shot, hopefully he see’s our comments and tries them. 👍
Water sources try to maintain their set water level by either adding or draining water.
I feel like there's probably an asset on the workshop for a large, old fire station that would fit perfectly with the industrial look of some of these neighborhoods
There’s a bunch of good ones in the late 19 early 20 century district packs on the workshop
Mr. Biffa, i see that you switched the East & West Kettling, maybe it would be a good idea to also rename the East Ketling park now situated in the West!

Definitely need a large car park for the University as people seem to be parking on roads creating traffic, just more travel options I guess
I noticed in this episode, that the roundabout to to 'NW' of Bampton Estates, South end of UBOW, still has the speed of the lower, middle section of the road set slower than the slip roads leading off of the motorway. It just seems that there is a lot of traffic using the upper part of the roundabout as a bypass and this traffic is blocking that junction. Thanx Biffa. Peace All
Nice university campus, i think it is in great location and your entrance looks amazing. You inspired me on some ideas. Little suggestion: You can add some roads inside of the campus so that people dont walk far. I had roads as well as paths in my campus IRL.

BTW Biffa a quick suggestion is that when you beautify a place with trees etc you can also try and add statues or small props like signage or quirky props such as person hanging of a signboard etc.
Like when you decorate a roundabout we can have a statue in the middle. Hope you consider this. 🙏🙏

The parks etc are fitting in very nicely near the major roundabouts/junctions. Looks good.
I'd suggest turning the dorm building around so that they face the rest of the campus. It makes the most sense to me since that's where all the students are going to/coming from and, from my experience, that's the way most dorms are oriented on college campuses
At 34:40 where there is a new connection from the track and field to the highway, have the left lane also straight on so that you have two lanes on the highway feeding to two downstream. Lane mathematics applied here too.
Uni dormitories could be turned so they're back to back with each other and mirror the squares of houses nearby. The campus feels a bit wonky at the moment, was also hoping for workshop skins so it wouldn't look so new and shiny. Also, is there a shopping district coming..? :D
As always, walkable road overpasses - for Brampton to connect parts of the district - would be great.

about the flooding river - maybe make some floodplains parks where the river can flood mostly harmlessly when the water level rises a bit, and put your infrastructure at a higher elevation?

Suggestion....Instead of having several separate Battersea Power Stations, how about joining them together to make 1 huge complex. You can use BOB to remove the parking spaces along the side so you don't get cars parking where there is ostensibly no parking.
The British Rugby team is called The Lions....I think that would be most appropriate of those available for your team name.
Once again.....in Traffic Manager, under the gameplay tab, you have an option to automatically add dedicated turning lanes. Saves a lot of clicking, and helpful if you forget to add them.
The university thing: you get academic works by either pressing the button to garuntee yourself one, or you can get a budget for people to work on it. Bigger the budget the more likely they’ll create something. However you don’t have to do both. It’s a lot of money

At 12:08, you could connect the two parks with a pedestreian underpass road! And also the same with the2 playgrounds at 6:55 by the Oblongabout (Actually both are by Oblongabouts)...
Hi Biffa. Great episode this one. Love Blightea! It does have a great british feel to it.. i would suggest rotating one of your flowery passages at the university for symmetry. The parks you made in this one look great. One thing i noticed is that the dorms have cars in front of them (some floating as you mentioned), but there are no roads for them to get there and no car parks either...
Oblongabouts are my first choice traffic fix, glad to see them making a comeback!

The University Main Building looks very similar to Australia's Queen Victoria Building. An absolute marvel of engineering and workmanship.
That one area where you added the 2 parks on each side of the road near the oblong about looks like 🫁 6:50 ..you could make that park area called lungs of the city

As always - loved the episode. How about "Blightea-on-the-Wold Privatears" as a name for the sports team? Or "Blighteas Privatears"? Or even "UBOW Privatears"? And of course with the Bucaneers-Logo :)
For the flooding issues: You could try raising an upstream part of the riverbed to create a choke point and lower the flow rate. Use MoveIt to raise one of the first 2 nodes of that network that you are using. No guarantee that it will also lower the water level peaks, but you'd assume it would.
edit: Or you could lower the water level of that water source.
Biffa, might be thinking ahead but I’d be so careful with the introduction of Metro! Train is obviously a lot more common but once there is a built up area that would have a circle line etc but lines could extend out to some suburbs (like the central line into parts of Essex!). Love the content, British city is class!!

Heyo Biffa, I was just thinking that the trees in front of the Uni close the view from the front of it.
I think to keep it nice, open and still gorgeous maybe do some colourful flower arrangements instead? Or a park with some gazebo's/benches.

The way he separates different areas with trees is good, but he can cover up some important “monuments” if you get what i mean.
Those plopable fancy paths should be rotated when you put one on either side of something. Also, dorms would be away from the highway and the sports would be closer. Better noise for students and better access to sports from the main road

The lions fit as British in as much as footie players are called the lions IRL! The horse one vaguely looked like a unicorn which could work too as for some reason it’s on our passports!

You need to reduce the speed of the river Wold by either replacing it with standing water (raising sea level in editor), or by placing more water sources along the thing. The game tends to spawn water in bousts, which then cause the waves that cause flooding
Late to the party as ever, but I thought (on seeing the pirates theme) that Blightea Clippers might be a good name. It's tea-related, it's nautical, it's British... kinda, it's arguably amibiguous and it ALMOST makes sense of the assets in use.
Good episode Biffa and like the choice of university. I still like my original name for the university posted a few episodes ago - Blightea Institute For Further Academia (BIFFA). Team colours to be Biffa red or Tottenham blue. Also think a metro station outside the stadium may help with the event-day traffic volumes.

Sports team name, nice and simple and possibly already suggested; The TEAgles (eagles)
For the Team name, you could use the Pirate mascot and be "The Settlers"
Bamton Heights needs a suburb called Bamton Lows since it'll be only one story buildings.
The track and field stadium is close enough to the motorway for it to have a dedicated junction running to it. That would clear up all the traffic problems it generates.
The pirate-TEAs? Sounds like a good name for sports.
As a name for the sports teams, maybe we could go for the "Teagles"; The tea sipping eagles or something alike?
Put the ticket price at 50$, and also the cheerleading at max as well, it will help bring in more people and make loads more money! Also, the Youth Training or whatever it's called at the bottom boosts winning quite a bit as well, but does get expensive the more stadiums you build.
The gardens of your university's main building are not symmetrical!!!!! Grr! Arg! My brain! It hurts!

Try using the flooding river for water for your citizens. By pumping out the water from the river, this will lower its level. The other thing to try is decreasing the flow rate on the water source it maybe up just a bit too high causing the flooding.

Please Biffa! You are my favourite CS UA-camr, but you give me anxiety when it comes to Universities. You don't need to give full budget on the research. 5000 to 10000 is more than enough to fund research, especially at the beginning, when the University is unrecognized. Much love from Canada!
You're spending loads of money because you're paying for 25 academic staff! However, that's also how you got 3 works at the end of the year.
Also, side note on Prop & Tree Anarchy: it *always* unhides the trees when you load in (and I've not found a setting to make it stop). I've started completely deleting the trees underneath roads & buildings as it's a neverending battle otherwise.
There’s a setting that deletes the trees when you build over them. In the options menu

People build all this gigantic universities, meanwhile I make mine like ancity college with just like 3 block of lands and it generated crazy amount of money and traffic haha
As a fellow UK citizen. It would only be right for the team to have a Lion mascot. Considering we have the 3 lions flag. As such clearly the name for the team should be the Tea Lions
For sport events the road that the track is on make that a main road and unlock that square and give it a connection to the other highway and that main road you can put all the stadiums on.
For the sports team, use the eagles logo and call them Teagles!
The flooding might be annoying, but it's very realistic, though. A river that high would flood quite often with excess water whenever it's raining.

You have flying cars because there needs to be roads leading to the dorms. hence the parking spaces.

Buccaneers is the only one that fits, isn't it? There's the Cornish Pirates down here. Also I agree that the side decoration on the main building needs flipping to mirror the other side. The university needs a snappier name, but should definitely be 'something' UniversiTEA.
Kettling Vultures - eagle logo, Kettling is when you see a bunch of raptors (usually vultures, but sometimes other birds) circling around as they travel through an area. PLUS you've got your Kettling Districts in the city as well, and the obvious... a Kettle of tea.
Blighty Mates of the Wold? - buccaneer logo
Spartan Sprinters - Spartan logo
Brewing Broncos - you figure out the logo for this one. 😉
Tea-Time Gators - it's not particularly punny, but it rolls off the tongue well enough
European Swallows (or African Swallows) - chirper logo, but might cause some snickers amongst the city's populace.
Falcon Steamers - chirper, OR eagle logo
The Eagles - spelled "T'Eagles" (I don't know, I'm reaching here)
It's a track and field team, not a sportsball team, so gotta think along the lines of sprints, hurdles, long jumps, dashes, and other track events. The bird names are just kind of for the high jumps I guess. Though there IS a bird actually called a swift, I don't think average Joe's would get the pun.
EITHER WAY!!! There MUST be green and/or brown or tan in the team colors, for tea leaves and brewed tea. ;)
Hi Biffa, Loving this series!! I feel like the T&F stadium needs to face the other way as most people attending come from the dorms or university. Entrance facing the University.
And suggestions for the team name,, I would go with the UBOW ... (something in the suggested list that begins with a U).

Just an FYI, you don't need to have the crazy amount of funding for the University if you are giving out the grants. You can lower that slider and be fine, the academic work will still be created based on the grant alone.
That curved road in Bampton Heights, instead of housing the same houses, you missed the opportunity to make a real Bampton Crescent style of street. Would be neat.
And what we also need is a Battersea Power Station Station metro station... And you'll need transportation from the university to the train station, especially with the stadium.
UBOW has to have the Lions, "Lyons" being a brand of tea!

Academic works in CS:C have a certain chance of being produced per year depending on your funding. The £20'000 gives you, as it said, a 79% chance and it gets reduced the less funding you give the Uni. A grant gives you a 100% chance, but you can only give a grant once a year.

Couple of things with the new uni, I really wish you'd turn the right hand path/park (as you're looking at the university) by 180 degrees for that nice mirrored look. And whilst it might not look exactly the part, you could always just change the name of the American football stadium or Basketball arena to something more British! ;-P
'Lions of the Wold' in honor of the Britons who held the lands when the Romans arrived. They fought so well the Romans gave the military leaders lion pelts when they reached an armistice. They colours are a golden brown, similar to a good cup of tea.

I think the best choice for the university would be gold/yellow lions, since that's what's on the English royal coat of arms. At least, it seems to fit better than any of the other options.

I'd argue for the Lion 🦁 as a university mascot, since this very British city could have a very British historical city patron: Richard the Lionheart.
