      Honestly if i was an alien civilization ide make my ships out of rocks, atleast interstellar sub light ships.
      If you can find a metalic core of a asteroid or small moon like Omuamua is suspected to be it would be the easiest way to make a debris/radiation shield, remember a grain of sand can punch through a space ship, but its gonna take something MUCH bigger to do any actual damage to a a massive metalic rock.

Any aliens that come here and want anything in our solar system will simply take it. If we try to do anything they don't like, we will be dead close to immediately. I give us 3-5 seconds for them to decide. Then poof human race is gone.

    Oumuamua, the interstellar object that passed through our solar system in 2017, is believed to have approached Earth at a hyperbolic speed because it was not bound to our Sun's gravity. It is thought to be an object from another star system, possibly ejected during the formation of that system. As it got closer to the Sun, its speed gradually decreased due to the Sun's gravitational pull. This is similar to how comets behave when they approach the Sun, with the Sun's gravity causing them to slow down and change their trajectory.

    • @MzeeMoja1
      @MzeeMoja1 11 місяців тому +4

      This object was NOT approaching earth as you’ve stated. Secondly, the Sun's gravity causes an increase in speed of an object approaching it, (not a decrease as you’ve stated) but what puzzled scientists is that this object’s speed decreased contrary to expectations - hence why Neil is saying it was not seen to obey Newton’s law of universal gravitation, thus causing speculation among scientists some of whom hypothesised intelligent design or influence (aka possibly alien engineered and/or operated).
      This increase in speed is due to the gravitational attraction between the object and the Sun, causing the object to accelerate as it moves closer to the Sun. However, if the object is moving away from the Sun, the Sun's gravity will cause it to decelerate (but as stated, the puzzle was in how it behaved when it was moving through the solar system and specifically when it was approaching the Sun).
      Simply, I don’t think you listened properly to what Neil is saying here or rather, I don’t think you properly understand what was observed, and I don’t think you understand Newton’s Law.
      Note: This reply is in part confirmed using modern research methods (ChatGPT) - but research method nonetheless.

    • @eliyarrows2456
      @eliyarrows2456 8 місяців тому

      No. NDT literally just explained that the manner in which it slowed down did not follow newtons laws. Had it just been slowed down by the sun, it woulda followed his laws. He’s saying that the deceleration of the rock doesn’t match the deceleration it woulda got due to the suns gravity.
      It doesn’t mean it’s a spaceship, it just means we don’t know the full story. There’s plenty of explanations that work in theory, but the suns gravity being the sole thing that slowed it down does not.

      @@Liamalaing Maybe it trajectory has been « naturally » reoriented by other cosmic phenomenon which I am sure are under multi-theorical construction. I find fascinating Oumuamua more by what it can deliver as astrophysical interpretation than by the « alien’s hypothesis » . Once the alien hypothesis is settled, you don’t think no more.: You just wait for an another sign. I like very much Neil but he should have been more careful land stick to his science mantra. But I guess he has to reactivate an audience once a while too.

      Wrong a rock will not slow down or change directions quickly using normal ice gas when I object is going towards the sun it will pickup more speed the only reason scientists don't say it's aliens is because of the god complex of our world we normal humans can't handle it but we science people cant wait until alien contact happens

  • @izzabelladogalini
    @izzabelladogalini 11 місяців тому +1

    Not sure what's going on here, must be an old video. The object was found to be disc shaped not cigar shaped and non gravitational change in velocity was it speeding up after it looped round the Sun when it should have been slowing down. It's now thought this acceleration was the release of hydrogen gas that was trapped in ice that melted as it passed the Sun, as it's hydrogen gas this release would not be visible and as it's being vented due to heat not material "blown off" by solar wind the venting could point in any direction unlike a standard comet tail which always points away from the Sun regardless of the comet's direction.
    The one thing that does match current results is that it's the first object that we know if that has come from another star system, formed in the planet forming accretion around another star and somehow escaped into interstellar space, no aliens but a very interesting object nonetheless.

    Niel was never saying it was an alien craft. This is an edit. He's a scientist - and by the way Omuamua did not begin to "rapidly slow down", it did outgas a bit which may have given it a slight push in one direction or another. It was not headed "towards earth" either But it did come from outside of the solar system.

    It was a antimatter object so as it got near the sun it was repelling ( slowed down) and then it repelled away accelerating.

      Tell us you don’t understand matter/antimatter without telling us.
      If antimatter collides with normal matter, they annihilate each other with a massive energetic explosion. It wasn’t an antimatter object.

Life goes fast , live and learn we tried , now time for learning so we can all live , guarantees our future , anywhere that is. We smart , we not ignorant. We all know better. God bless us all.

    *_If you look at the solar system in a three-dimensional representation you can see that we moved towards the object and so it seemed as if the the object (had been passing us and) then slowed down as it got close to our sun because it basically was being dragged or pushed the other direction; there was 'no lack of laws being followed: or any kind of intelligent control; outside of normal gravitational pull!!_*

    • @FloridaManMatty
      @FloridaManMatty 11 місяців тому +1

      Not impossible, but also not necessary. Boomerangs work the way they do because of how their distributed weight interacts with air.
      Shape wouldn’t matter at all in vacuum, and where the weight is centered wouldn’t matter as much as overall mass.
