The Valley was something totally different to their previous albums and that's what I loved about it. But I also love that they brought out Currents with their older style and still managed to produce new sounds and beautiful melodies. In my opinion all their albums seem to be brilliant in their own individual ways, yet they all distinctively sound like eisley and only eisley. I hope people realise how talented this band really is! So underrated.
I just can't stop listening to this song today. It's just beautiful. Reminds me a lot of Copeland's You Are My Sunshine. Loving the bass line in the second verse.
My friend had a party and I saw an Eisley poster on their wall, I checked online to listen to some tunes of theirs, and this was the one that came up. So, I periodically listen to this, which really isn’t the kind of music I generally like, but the mood shift at 0:37 and then again for the chorus is pretty spot on. Really amazing production as well. Warm and rich. Piano and guitar keep it all together while drums and vocals are on the top doing some Lofi dilla beat shit over I don’t even know what kind of vocals you’d call this? Just very talented singing.
I've been diehard Eisley. I used to follow them around during the EP eras, the Room Noises. They've always been great, but admittedly... something was remiss this past album. I'm so thankful for this current sound. It's been utterfly blissful, like I've been transported to that past time and era that was wonderful. I love this song, this album.
God. And to think the first time I heard Eisley was like, late 2003 walking through my college café and they were streaming them on some indie show. Almost 10 years o.O Happy to see they're still going!!
Love Eisley!! I'm so excited for this album! They seriously are consistently the best band ever!! I will forever be their biggest fan! Also I'm excited to see them on tour this summer!! :) WOOHOO!!!
The beat is different from what I'm use to , but i usually get over it , it sounds so hypnotic as someone said earlier....I get so excited about new music from them , like a little giddy girl !!!
I felt the same way. Only a few songs grabbed me off of Combinations and The Valley. But Currents brings me back to what Room Noises made me felt. I remember being young and discovering their whimsical sound for the first time. Good to feel that way again.
Ever since this was released on NYLON, I can't help but play it over and over and over... as I sit here at work, it's playing through my speakers. I am so excited for the album to come out in May :) Thank you Eisley for your beautiful melodies.
Eisley has been my favorite band since I was 8 and I'm so excited for yet another amazing album. Stacy sounds perfect as usual and I love the orchestra pieces!
As I listen to "Drink the Water" and "Currents" I cant help myself, but to get excited for this album. The experimentation within these tracks is outstanding. It seems they might have shed some of the "pop" they had in their previous works and created a more ambient, oceanic, and atmospheric feel to their music. The feel could be due to the album being titled "Currents", but I am interested to see if the rest of the album follows this. If so, this may be one of the best albums of 2013.
I have been a fan since the beginning and it warms my heart to see you guys still going! You are in of the biggest inspirations I have in creating my own music! Not to mention all if the hard times your songs have pulled me through! I can not wait for this album and many many more!
As another commenter said, Eisley is definitely a consistently great band. Beautiful song, can't wait to get the CD!! Have loved you guys since Room Noises X]
WOW! The music is so rich and full, that piano riff is killer and Stacy's voice is beautiful! I am amazed and very excited for this album to come out! :)
Little wicked boy, come out and shake my hand I come from where you come from, I've seen what you've seen Come lay under my wing, fade into the night I love you, I can save you if you believe Drink the water from the mud little boy Drink the water from the mud Tell me that you don't belong little boy Tell me that you don't belong Little impish one, remember what we planned We won't hear whistles calling when we are out to sea Come lay under my wing, morning's over the shore I love you, I can teach you if you believe Drink the water from the mud little boy Drink the water from the mud Tell me that you don't belong little boy Tell me that you don't belong
I was stunned at first - this one is quite a departure - but thanks to songs like this one (the third track, I think) I've come around on it - this is easily their best since ROOM NOISES. I liked the last two, but this is the first time they've really branched out since RN.
Yes I felt like that, too. Room Noises was such a great album. Though I liked Combinations as well. The Valley was where they lost me a little. Currents is awesome!!
Am I the only one whose favourite album is Combinations? Maybe it's because that's the first Eisley album I ever heard, but I fell in love with that album and it's still my favourite. I am very much enjoying Currents too though.
I'm really liking the sound of this new album! It's different, but I like it. So many of my favourite bands have been 'selling out' recently, in my opinion, and deliberately making music that will appeal to the masses so it will sell more, and therefore losing their own sound. But Eisley haven't done that at all, which I'm so glad about!

This song is literally magic
I don’t know why but the beginning gives off a good vibe; can’t stop listening ❤️
I just can't stop listening to this song today. It's just beautiful. Reminds me a lot of Copeland's You Are My Sunshine. Loving the bass line in the second verse.
Still come back 6 years later. I will never forget this song.
Did you forget it?
I come back to this video from time to time to never forget how amazingly good this album is

this song is still perfection
Just noticed the album artwork is moving slightly!
I feel like I'm being placed under a beautiful spell every time I listen to them. I can't wait for the whole album.
Once again, Eisley does not disappoint. In fact, they seem to get even better as they get older.
Listening to this song overrr & over. Singing it again & again at work; it really just refuses to stay out of my head.
Stacy, ily. That voice.
I love seeinh Eisley evolve from what they used to be.
I'm really excited for this album. Ugh. Stacy's voice is as if an angelic fairy is bestowed secrets in my ears.
EISLEY WITH JEREMY LARSON IS ALL THAT I HAVE EVER, EVER WANTED. I'M CRYING THIS IS TOO GOOD.
God. And to think the first time I heard Eisley was like, late 2003 walking through my college café and they were streaming them on some indie show. Almost 10 years o.O Happy to see they're still going!!
its been ten years.. my goodness.
I've had this song on repeat all day. Splendid.
if the whole album is gunna be like this i would be so happy
This song has the coolest ebb & flow. That chorus' rhythm is just -- MM. Grovin' at my desk.
The mix on this is glorious. The song is even better.
This is the first song I've heard by Eisley and I've gone on to listen to a few others and, I have to say: they're great!
Listening to this, it feels 9 years ago and no time has passed. Eisley is a family of wizards.
I just saw them for the first time on TV last night & I'm already addicted. Buying the album!!!!
Love Eisley!! I'm so excited for this album! They seriously are consistently the best band ever!! I will forever be their biggest fan! Also I'm excited to see them on tour this summer!! :) WOOHOO!!!
First heard this band from randomly clicking on this video years ago, extremely glad I did
A karaoke version of this song definitely needs to be made.
A very strong effort from Eisley. Vocal is hella hypnotic.
How much do I love this! The current runs deep. Even in my veins. Well done Eisley.

So happy, I wasn't expecting to hear anything new until next week at the earliest.
Perfect for this spring time rainyness
Eisley, you never disappoint! Love the new sound. Can definitely hear this in a movie soundtrack :] looking forward to the new album.
Ever since this was released on NYLON, I can't help but play it over and over and over... as I sit here at work, it's playing through my speakers. I am so excited for the album to come out in May :)
Thank you Eisley for your beautiful melodies.
"I come from where you come from" Luv that line.
Thank you so much for that injection of concentrated chill.
Stacy sounds like a siren in this song! This is fantastic, I love it. Original and beautiful as always Eisley. Can't wait for May!
is it weird that I'm a guy and completely dig this. soo groovy and their voices are mesmerizing.
I've been into Eisley since the marvelous things EP. Haven't listened to them in years though. I'm really feelin' this album!
Wow I can't wait for this album. I am absolutely blown away.
Eisley has been my favorite band since I was 8 and I'm so excited for yet another amazing album. Stacy sounds perfect as usual and I love the orchestra pieces!
Now this is some real music, I think.
Eagerly waiting. Not sure if this song is indicative, but I love the leaner airier sound.
This makes long time fans so proud!!!
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
Eisley still does it like nobody else can.
Finally! I've been waiting for something to be released by them since forever. I love them to bits!!
I'm impressed with the production on this
this is a combination of everything I love about music.

I feel like I'm in the ocean when listening. Sounds great!
Love the keys in this tune.

This is absolutely incredible! Wow such beautiful voices, can't wait for the new album!!!!
As another commenter said, Eisley is definitely a consistently great band. Beautiful song, can't wait to get the CD!! Have loved you guys since Room Noises X]
Probably the best song on the album - and this lineup no longer exists - what a shame.
Beautiful, as always. Can't wait to hear the rest...
Eisley is the most amazing band ever.
Can't wait to see them this summer!!
Oh, God, such a good sounds!!! I can't wait!
Absolutely stunning. Bravo! I cannot expect much more from your new sound.
Really wish I could like this song more than once.

I am in love with this.
