@golfmaddad79 absolutely, hole 15 onwards are actually really great holes! We are Nottingham based so will need to get out to this one and get it filmed one time
absolutely cracking video Andy and awesome seeing a full round on a course I call home but though not a member I just love it. -3 is a awesome round in the winter . I've played this course since 2015 in 9 Hole rounds (Due to my limitations) and seen an almighty change in the course over the years. I've seen and played it when the Jack Barker group ran it and the course was quite literally a builders site and dumping ground, Bunkers had bricks in them, no Tees what so ever, terrible greens and awful drainage on the back 9 especially around 15, 16 & 17 (your front 9) Now hopefully sorted and with some more TLC and better weather coming soon (Hopefully) I can get back on the course :) I know through experience how well this course can play. In the summer it plays fantastically well and even into the Autumn the trees are magnificent in their reds and yellow leaves. 4 years ago it was at risk of closure thanks to covid and Nottingham City Council screwing up their finances but saved by the new owners and they have done a tremendous work improving it. I actually heard someone say from the club that the owners were thinking/planning a 9 hole pitch and putt in the future. As for playing the 15th in the summer when the tees are back I hit Driver over the ditch where you did and 5 wood which put me at the back of the green but it's a long par 4 for myself but you played it very well and only with irons that's amazing. Overall not bad condition for winter golf, greens look alright to me but they are very slow when putting uphill ^_^. consider myself a new follower :) Hope Bulwell Forest is on your list for future episodes ^_^ Good Golf
Hi David, Thanks so much for your kind comments and the time taken to comment. The filming and editing is very time consuming so replies like yours make it worthwhile and give me the energy to keep going and aim for that 1000 subscriber mark. I keep seeing Bulwell Forest pop up on the golf now app so I will definitely come check it out. If this summer will drop you a message if I play and you can guide me around as I try play and film whilst we play :) Again, really appreciate the feedback. Speak soon, Andy
I played The Hall many years ago {30} and it was a very nice track. I remember what happened with land fill and dumping. Hucknall just down the road had issues as well. I played The Hall shortly after the new owners took over and the improvements were noticeable. I'm looking forward to playing it again this year. Hope you are enjoying the course now. @@golfmaddad79
@@edwinlambley2801 i will definitely be returning this year and play in the summer conditions. Hopefully warms up soon. Light night are slowly on their way!
We are divided on this course, i personally like it! Great score though mate and great video!
Havnt made it back since I made this one. Would like to go when drier as well. Some quirky holes at the end.

I used to live right next to this course and i must say its gone downhill since i played it...looks awful now.
Fingers crossed they keep getting it back to how it was. Good winter golf area from us Derbyshire clay base golfers.
