Steve Cauthen and SLIP ANCHOR run away with the 1985 Derby

Her Majesty The Queen was among 250,000 spectators as 9/4 favourite Slip Anchor made every yard to win the 1985 Derby under Steve Cauthen, beating Law Society by seven lengths. It was a performance of utter dominance from a jockey in his prime, masterminded by the brilliant trainer Henry Cecil.
