    HOW LONG CAN THE WATER LAST STORED IN MYLAR?
    i'm getting this question a lot so this is how I based my calculations.
    Online you can buy emergency water in mylar ~amzn.to/3UYt9yT
    The manufacturer say 5 year shelf life.
    So if stored properly and you use filtered or distilled water mine will last 3-5 years as well, maybe more.
    I do not recommend doing a whole bag of water in mylar as it's wobbly and hard to store. Doing it in little sizes with meals is the PERFECT way to get the best of both worlds.
    ENJOY =]

    I like the idea of making the MRE-style meals with the packet of water, too. Thinking a smaller packet with some freeze-dried parmesan on one side and some dessert (like freeze-dried fruit) on the other might make this more complete. Lots of ideas, though! Thank you for bringing back my memories of eating MREs during Desert Storm. (They weren't all "terrible"... lol)
