AFTERBURN: After the forest fire - Joseph Hartman and the Parry Sound 33 Fire

In 2018 the Parry Sound 33 fire burned over 11,000 hectares of land on the northeastern shore of Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada. Artist Joseph Hartman spent 4 years photographing the aftermath of the fire and created a stunning body of work. His photographs and paintings tell a story of a landscape significantly altered by a natural event that was likely started by humans.
