I would like to thank you for these videos! I am a nervous flyer and watching your trip reports helped me to calm it down a lot. The way you show take offs, explain parts of the flight and how the engine works and change sounds- really made me get used to it and now i am not so stressed when i hear the engine change on my flight. I was terrified every time getting on a plane, couldnt eat on the day of the flight. I used to have nightmare nightmares weeks before it. Not anymore! I stress a bit before take off and a bit during landing. Your videos are very informative and you can tell that you put a lot of hard work in making them. Thank you so much ❤
Hey Lucas, another great Jet2 trip report, I honestly think Jet2 is one of your favourite airlines in the whole wide world. You travel with them quite often on the channel ;-) Also sad to see the 757 retired from the fleet, had some great memories of flying on this aircraft. I have flown on 757's with Britannia airways (Now TUI), Airtours International and Air Europe back in the 1980s/1990s so a long time ago.

I think they are so polished and informative. Love all the details you point out. I need to learn!!!! If it is not too much to ask, what camera do you use? and do you use a gimbal? your images are so stable, even during landings. My films of landings are so jumpy, LOL. Such a shame. They should have concentrated upgrading the 757 instead of the 737. At least it’s legs are long enough to hang the new engines on, would have saved the debacle Boeing now finds itself in . Great trip. All the best Mick.🇬🇧

Correcto. Jet2 está lleno de detalles que la hacen muy original, única. Puede gustarte más o menos estar aerolínea, pero de lo que no se les puede acusar es de no ser diferentes al otro 95%.
From a former United Airlines sales manager in the USA, then pilot with another airline. No worries with a 757 on a short flight like this. However, a flight over 4 or so hours on a 757 in coach? No aircraft is more hated by pax and crew alike. Ex - Ever been stuck behind a drink cart when all you're thinking is ....."I gotta pee!" ? ☹ Thanks for the video -- good fun.

Air Caraibes (sister airline of French Bee) is almost guaranteed for the end of the year, as I have a trip planned to the Caribbean at that moment. French Bee is an airline that I would like to try. Maybe this year as well, we'll see! :)
Magnificent plane, one of Boeing's finest. Even Donald Trump still uses it for Trump Force One. I remember flying it back in the '90s from London to Pisa when I was a kid. The A321 took over, but this one will always be remembered as one of the best for short to medium haul.

Cuanto mayores son los aviones, con más frecuencia se requieren esas revisiones y mayores son los costes de mantenimiento. Llega un punto que, aunque el coste de alquiler sea muy bajo, no compensa el coste de mantenimiento, el mayor consumo de combustible... etc que los aviones de nueva generación.
That's correct... but it's such an specific airline... located so far away from Europe mainland... that many times I don't consider it. But yes, you're correct. There are still 2 operators in Europe: Condor and Icelandair.

Allegiant Air, an American low-cost carrier known for its focus on leisure travel, leased several Boeing 757 aircraft to Jet2holidays, a holiday package division under Jet2.com. During this period, Jet2holidays adopted a livery nearly identical to Allegiant's, making only minor changes to the branding displayed on the aircraft."
Shame that the 757's are now part of history, as a Local to Manchester it's become very boring as all we see is A320 family and B737 the variety of aircraft has become none existent. Also the A321's they are replacing within there fleet have had a few technical issues of late which just goes to prove new isn't always better. Also to point out the picture of that large Viaduct at around 11m 15 is not the river Mersey but a water way called the Manchester Ship Canal, this was built by hand to connect Liverpool to Manchester and has lots of interesting history behind it making Manchester which was a land locked City available to get to the Irish sea.

Tbh Manchester gets a hell of a lot more than y'all constantly say it does. I feel Manchester spotters/Manchester enthusiasts are very ungrateful pretending like you don't get much when in reality you do. You're the best airport for traffic in the north AND midlands, considering Birmingham gets purely just 320 and 737 family... To also add on, you constantly get new airlines and still are sooo..

I did some of my pilot training on a 757, it was the F1 airplane in its day, ideal for high and hot airports

You should call the title “The Last Personal Flight” rather than “Last flight”. Also, SkyUp still has some B757-300s

The Boeing 757 is a fantastic plane.Boeing wasn't wise when they decided to stop its production . Now they don't have a plane to compete with A321
Well, the thing is that when they decided to end the B757 production, with the info available at that moment, it was for sure the correct decision...

😢757 Jet2 now Retired
yes... just the CONDOR 757-300s remainingin Europe... Also Icelandair has still some -200, but they will also be retired soon...
I think that Vienna airport needs some renovation. It looks outdated for me.
They went through major refurbishments during the pandemic.

Shame that the 757's are now part of history, as a Local to Manchester it's become very boring as all we see is A320 family and B737 the variety of aircraft has become none existent. Also the A321's they are replacing within there fleet have had a few technical issues of late which just goes to prove new isn't always better. Also to point out the picture of that large Viaduct at around 11m 15 is not the river Mersey but a water way called the Manchester Ship Canal, this was built by hand to connect Liverpool to Manchester and has lots of interesting history behind it making Manchester which was a land locked City available to get to the Irish sea.

It's normal that the A321Neos have now some issues as they are relatively new models (engines, basically). We'll see how they continue in 3-4 years...
Tbh Manchester gets a hell of a lot more than y'all constantly say it does. I feel Manchester spotters/Manchester enthusiasts are very ungrateful pretending like you don't get much when in reality you do. You're the best airport for traffic in the north AND midlands, considering Birmingham gets purely just 320 and 737 family...
To also add on, you constantly get new airlines and still are sooo..
