OMG I’m coming this Sunday to Simpsonville, SC because my husband and I are planning on moving there the summer of 2024. This video was so helpful. Thank you so much.
I live RIGHT THERE! Next to where Upstate Karate use to be! Also, good video! You are super pretty and I enjoyed your voice. An I agree, Simpsonville is an AMAZING place to live! I am a local musician and it has helped me out tremendously! Again, awesome job!
We are considering moving to SC in about 2-3 years. Simpsonville is one of the areas that is at the top of my list. However, we do not want an HOA. Are there many homes in the area that do not have an HOA?
Hey! Yes, I think you will be able to find homes without an HOA. What's important to you about not having an HOA? There are some that are an HOA in name only and the payment is only to keep the streetlights on, where others it may say it has a HOA but it's actually been dissolved.
I've watched some of your neighborhood videos. Do you plan on doing any videos for Holly Tree, Holly trace, Sugar creek, sugar mill....just to name a few :)
Actually I planned to get a home through (Divvy Homes) to try to get at home there, a rent to own, they'll find you something you need all over the US, I always wanna try to find a way to live in Simpsonville. Not gonna let anything kill my dreams, I'm very determined and stubborn😛😝😋😋😅😏😏💝💚😏
@@aubree_lewis I'll sure to keep you updated as soon as that happens, I'm planning for that next year. Is time for a new change , I'm trying to get out of the metro area of Atlanta too much craziness.😏😏💜
@@aubree_lewis That's the reassurance I love to hear, plus I have one of my best friends that lives there. Thanks for sharing this video, I also have a Van that I'm converting to look like a locomotive. I saw on your video about the train next to the ice cream , but I do barbecue on the side from time to time like private events or parties.. So you might be able to see me sometime down there one day🥩🍗🍖🚐🚉🥳🤗😏
I think it depends on where and what you are looking for. However I believe that for the price point of the area you get a lot more for your money. Average price point or specific neighborhoods will be 200-400s. Happy to have a more in depth conversation of course! Feel free to call or email me :)
Everyones definition of affordable housing is different. Unfortunately we are still considered incredibly affordable in the area when you consider that our area's housing affordability according to the national average is 30% lower than most of the the country.
I was born and raised here and I definitely could not afford to live here if I hadn’t bought my house 20 years ago… but now my house is 3x what I paid for it lol 🤷🏼♂️
There is so much taken into account when buying. I see people who make great money but have so much debt they can barely qualify, or credit scores are low cause of not paying bills on time, etc.
This video is way off base! I lived in downtown Simpsonville for almost 10 years and it was a difficult, dirty and ignorant place to live. The small town police and court system were as corrupt as it could be. My wife was stopped and ticketed ($200) for going 3 miles over the speed limit on Curtis Ave. Then our dog got out and the judge hit us with a $250 fine. THEY ACCEPT CASH ONLY and on the court date they had people lined up out the door and down the sidewalk. The clerk was taking everyone's money and throwing it into a plastic trash can next to her fold-out card table. I hope it has changed, but back then, the place was crawling with undercover police cars and contracted informants who can AND DO call the department and rat on you, and get paid for it. Oh, yea, and they DON'T LIKE YANKEES! Once our neighbors found out that we were "not from here", most looked for every opportunity to hate on us. One shot our dog with a B-B gun, and our next door neighbor liked to run her riding mower over my kid's toys anytime they would leave them on "her side" of the property line. And then there's the drugs. Meth and alcohol are mother's milk in small southern towns, and Simpsonville is no different. I got out of Simpsonville 13 years ago, and moved to the country, and I try my best to stay out of the city limits when commuting. In the end, no one lives in Simpsonville unless they have to. If you're moving to the Upstate, there are much better communities to call home.
This is your opinion. Others love it and much has changed to the area in the 13 years you have been gone. I'm glad you got out though and like where you live now.
@@aubree_lewis I guess I should have explained myself in a slightly more articulate manner. So here goes, when people are interested in Simpsonville (or any other city on the planet) that is what they want to see and learn about and maybe that comes as a surprise to you. And, this is nothing against you and somewhat of a common misunderstanding of the viewers objective. For example, real estate tours feature 99-100% of the house they are trying to sell and to a far lesser degree the real estate agent. And, why is this ? Because people are far more interested in the house than the agent and/or narrator. So if you factor in the timeline, people will probably remember their family vacation and/or sights and unique destinations in Simpsonville (or again in other city on the planet) long after they have forgotten all about the narrator and/or youtube hostess. And, when friends and family ask about the details of their vacation, at the very bottom of the (if at all) might be the random narrator or hostess or a youtube clip. This might be different if you were offering in person guided tours. Then you would probably receive Yelp reviews and referrals from good reviews via word of mouth etc. Hope that helps mitigate the "strange" for you.
@@lisachuck999 ok. I’m glad you articulated the ALL CAPS “strange” comment. 🙃 Truly. I just didn’t know what you were really talking about and how to respond lol. Ok, so house tours are not the purpose of my channel, sometimes, maybe, but it’s it’s narrating and telling the story of the areas that are of interest to my community and potential clients. That’s why I do them because I literally answer the same questions over and over, and instead now have a video I can send that answers the questions and then some. :) So it’s no surprise to me that people want more information about the particular areas. Creating this content is a evolving process and learning experience! This particular video was one of the very first I made with an equally inexperienced video/editor. :) and we’ve learned so so much on the content we made. In addition, editing and making sure that I can actually SHOW the area has been a learning process. So, what do I do about it. I leave the older content up for someone who may potentially find some value in it and I continue to make new content that is more focused on the topics my audience is looking for. :) These videos are accomplishing what I’m putting them up for by connecting people in conversations to me so I can eventually help them in a home buying or selling situation later. :) So thanks for the feedback and the better response so I could understand, and I hope you find value in the newer videos as I create them and you get what you came here for.

What neighborhood are you in around minute 5.30?
Yes! I'm driving in Neely Farms! =)
Is it all Northern transplants?
No. It’s people from all over!
Anyone know of a pizza place in Simpsonville that serves anchovie pizza ?
Try The Slice. At least that’s what I’ve heard.
It’s to bad they don’t have affordable housing?? 350,000 is extremely high - what about for us working people or seniors?? Thanks

In several places it was really difficult to hear your voice through the music.
