And the interactive components of it were composed in Director, an early multimedia precursor of Flash that I was learning at the time. And on the CD, they left the entire Director source code on it! Meaning, you could open it in Director , the whole CD and its interactive structure, and tamper with it any way you wanted. Change this or that, alter it. Oh, I miss the 90s, it was a fun digital frontier. And i love Pet Shop Boys, forever. Very great contemporary artists.

This was such a cool track I used to love hearing on Groove 103.1fm here in LA when the station had launched. I even got the cassete tape from a real record store back then!
I was never a "die hard" PSB fan, but I am totally digging this one for they include these fine female vocals. This has an almost soulful feel. Love all the remixes. Still my favourite is "What Have I Done To Deserve This?" They are arguably essential for London's vibrant music scene past, present and future. A genuine art/ music/ pop institution.
Of all the music videos the Pet Shop Boys did, this is probably one of my most favourites music videos they did. Pet Shop Boys have always had soulful female vocals on their songs all through their career, but this was probably one of the first music videos they did, where they gave their backing vocalists total respects in one of their music videos. These backing vocalists are just naturally able to shine in their brilliant visual performance.
It sounds like you may well already have, but I strongly suggest you listen the song “The Survivors” from this same album (BILINGUAL) ! Should be right up your alley.

I think I've lost any hope to find my love. Yet this songs makes me cry, and even gives me a sort of comfort. I was 19 when it was released and somehow I felt I could relate to its lyrics. Since then, god only knows how many tears have rolled down my face. Anyway, thank you Neil and Chris for being my musical lifelong companions.

Both songs share the same harmony. Many other PBS songs do too. I actually think that PBS are the masters of composing different hit melodies on the same four chords progression.
