Hi thanks for this tutorial. I wonder if you can repeat the changes on copied components. For example if I rotate the original component around its own pivot point, how to have the copies rotated around theirs ? Thanks
Thank you this put together a lot of unanswered questions and subtle concepts that you have to play over and over to see one thing you mention to fill in gaps in my understanding....like clicking axis to get a direction for the pattern.... treasure hunt. Thanks
I noticed near the end where you used the rectangular pattern tool to cut several slots in a body, those slots did not propagate to the other copies of that body. Is there a way to keep all the body copies "associated" so that modifications (like the slots) to any one body gets propagated to all the other copies?
I feel like I'm missing something here. I'm selecting extrude but it will only let me select the original circle. I've tried with and without ctrl to multi select.
I realize this is a 2 year question old but perhaps other's had the same question like I did. It turns out that when he created the copies, he created more bodies and not components. You can individually edit bodies but components will all share geometry.
Hi everyone! Let me know if you have any questions about the rectangular pattern tool in the comments below! :)

"WWWWWWHATS UP GUYS!" Thanks for the video. Was looking for an explanation of the different modes in rectangular pattern.

Massive time saver. Thanks!
Thank you! This just solved my current project!
I just wanted to say thank you for these videoes.
And would you make a video on how to avoid the issue of not getting a closed loop with sketches?
great video, very clear actions
Glad you enjoyed it

How can I define X + Z-direction?
How would I create a decorative radius around the top of a square or rectangular table leg?

When clicked OK on the rectangular pattern window, my models are transparent. How do I fix this problem?
This puts together a lot of unanswered questions.
Thank you!
I placed a lot of board with the RP tool and when i go to do a extrude cut to the corner board, it cuts ALL the boards.... What do I do?
