Yes ❤ the most heartbreaking movie ever
In my opinion, I can't choose between the two because are so wonderfully done. The Notebook is heart breaking because it shows what it's like to lose your soulmate and life partner to dementia and have them not remember you or your life together. A Walk to Remember is heart breaking because it shows pure innocent and young love cut short by illness and death.
Dang it, now I want to watch both of them but I have to finish a term paper for school...

This line tells us that God actually answers out prayers in unexpected ways and that shows in this movie when Landon was God's answer to Jamie ❤

I will probably die young, BUT god gave me a Landon of my own-💜 as well as a family that is very supportive and protective- my mother is very much like Jamie’s father, that’s why I cry an relate to this movie so much....💜

Same here. God always has a bigger plan for our life than we do...❤️ Jamie realized that later. Their relationship is so beautiful! It makes me so freaking emotional! This movie is hands down better than the notebook in my opinion!
To me, the most heartbreaking yet sweetest act was when Landon's estranged father paid for Jaime's home care and Landon broke down in tears in gratitude T.T

This part is very integral in the fact that Landon has been showing strength the entire time for Jamies sake, being the rock. This scene shows the true breakdown of how Landon not only missed his father but he needed him for support beyond just financial help. Tears are water and even rocks can be destroyed by it. Great scene.
My favorite part is when Landon does everything on her bucket list. Especially when he drives her to the state line so she can be in two places at once 😭

Number one scene in my list
Landon and his father's reunion will always be my favorite scene aside from the romantic scenes. It proved to us how love can change us and improve our personal relationships with other people especially our families

I cried for majority of the second half of this film. The relationship and storyline was one aspect to it but my god, the soundtrack they used..it just got me 😭
The hospital scene (7:38) is sadder than you can possibly imagine. Jamie smiles through the pain but let's it slip when Landon caresses her.
I remember thinking Shane West was so good looking. I also thought he and Mandy Moore had amazing onscreen chemistry and wanted them to be a real life couple.
It probably would've turned out better than the two guys she wound up marrying.
Rajareign they did a great job. Neither of them I think are extremely dedicated to acting as they seem to have just left the scene but it's quite a legacy to have such a memorable movie if it's the only one you really do.
I honestly still do! From what it sounds, they were just didn't have the right timing. They're at different stages in life, but shane definitely adores Mandy.

This is my favourite Nicholas Sparks movie adaptation. It's quite different from the book, which was set in the 1950's, but it never fails to make me cry. My top moment is either Landon punching out Dean for the prank, or Jamie's titular memorable walk down the aisle.😭💒💍
This might be my favorite movie adaptation of all time. There are a lot of things different between the book and movie, but they are both equally beautiful in their own way ❤

This and titanic are probably my two favorites! In titanic he gave his life for rose which is the greatest act of love. But in this movie he did so much for her in return for what she did for him. They’re both such beautiful stories with the best relationships based on trust and pure selfless love.❤️

One of the touching moments in the movie is when Landon said thank you to his father. Man the feelsss you can feel it to your bones. 😭

I CANNOT believe the hospital scene and "I'm scared of not being with you" didn't make this list! INSANE! As many times as I've watched this movie, you'd think I would have gotten over the emotion that those scenes bring out. HA! The only way I can get through them is to ignore them completely and wait for them to pass.

watched this movie again last night and as always, it didn’t fail to make me cry. what i realized about this film is that it is not just an unconditional love story but it is also a story about healing and mending through that great love. read the book as well and the movie might be different from it but the two are equally amazing and moving. the book showed us how it is to unconditionally love someone, but the movie showed us how that unconditional love could redirect one person’s life and find its real purpose. really love the fact that shane west and mandy moore gave life to these two well-loved characters 🤍

I've seen it more than 10x and I've cried in all those occasions. I'm even crying now even with these short clips. This hits right in the core even though you haven't experienced any of the characters' circumstances.

This was the first movie I watched with my wife, 20 years ago right after we'd met. 8 years ago our 2 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Thankfully she recovered and is a clear, happy 10 year old, but the chance of it coming back means I'll probably never be able to watch this movie again. I wish we had movies like this again, ones that told simple stories of real-life tragedies encased in beauty.
