Might be something handy to mention but it might be worth looking into some fabric to go between them magnetic lights and the cars paint before you get someone claiming you damaged it, not sure how much that'd effect the holding power of them.
Great content mate, nice to have a mix. Dont worry about not filming something because people have seen it before, it's "a day in the life" and it's what we're here to watch
Loving the content Greg, keep it up mate. I love watching heavy d sparks and how he uses his big military 5 ton winch truck to recover stuff. Just watched how he did a hgv with a loaded trailer if hay stuck in the mud. Was awesome. Keep it up brother 👍👍👍👍
I just love the intro on your videos, one of the best on UA-cam, whoever made it deserves a Oscar , your content and presentation skills r great too and at point Good luck mate
We will have a unimog for sale shortly if your interested, it doesn't have any winches or recovery gear but it's a smart machine had a lot of work done over the last few years including a respray so she looks the part
Hi Daniel, Thanks for watching & comment. Drop a message to my facebook page if your on there. GDB Recovery & 24HR Mobile Tyres with some pictures / Spec Thanks
Should got the guy to pull the handbrake on a couple clicks to help stop over running the winch ;) First time watching 👀 and enjoyed keep it up I watch some USA stuff MATTS OFFROAD RECOVERY Is a good watch and for a bit of Recovery and FAB stuff FAB RATS is also a Good Watch 😉
You posted a video 2 weeks ago about how you got into the business. What struck me was that you showed how you sub contracted out the job... This interested me greatly, you said to comment below in that video if you wished to know more. I'm interested in what details you take from the clients and the sub contractors and how you formed the contracts.... I'm disabled.... but pretty good at marketing... seems you have shown me a way to return to work after 17 years off pal. Thank you 😊
The Bedford truck is effectively 50 years old - I think like others you would find it too slow, noisy and uncomfortable. However, although Bedford/AWD/Marshalls no longer exist there is a big aftermarket in spares for export so that shouldn't be a problem. Maybe consider a military Leyland DAF 4wd truck as a basis for a cheap conversion? Also, you have said that part worns are unreliable and to avoid retreads, etc, but have you done anything on which brands of tyres you find are good (FWIW I rate Falkens as good value/quality) or bad.
Another Great video. The Bedford was a good truck in its day but you might find it a bit slow and due to the age of her you might struggle to get replacement parts
6.39 zoom! zoom! zoom! 😂😂 😂 Yer do make me chuckle with your alreet greeting, proper Staffordian hey👍, your becoming very confident chatting to camera now, brilliant content, might have a word with Shane and see if we can get you on one of our cinematic films, you can do all the talk to camera scenes for us! 😝 Great video mate, really enjoyed it 👍👍👍👍👍
must be different down your way but in north east even if you have recovery on the way police can still have the car lifted and will depending on the location and danger to other road users. I have personally been on jobs doing recovery for the police only for the customers own recovery agent to turn up half way through loading or even when the vehicle is fully loaded and im about to leave the scene
Who's your mate Greg?? Being hgv positive when I've got a dual tyre problem, our tyre people Tructyre always bring 2 out just in case. Great vlog as always mukka, stay safe.
Some people’s stupidity amazes me, “I chucked some oil in it” how about learning to check wheel nuts with a bar and socket, basic checks on your car can save your money and in some cases your life
As you so politely asked it I am willing to rate your reversing: I give you a 10 on the scale of 10; absolutely perfect, that is!
Might be something handy to mention but it might be worth looking into some fabric to go between them magnetic lights and the cars paint before you get someone claiming you damaged it, not sure how much that'd effect the holding power of them.
Absolutely 100% P~e~r~f~e~c~t,
Greg!!!👍🥇👌👏👏👏

Lovely bit of Saturday morning content 👌🏼
😎😎😎
The Bedford I drove was 45 normal driving flat out just over 50 🤣🤣
I loved it you couldn't rush to the jobs like in the other trucks
Spent many a year driving TK`s MJ and MK`s and that beast of a TM behind the MJ very robust vehicles and were nearly squaddie proof !
Hi Greg great video yet again, are those wireless lights you put on rear of the Audi?
Yes wireless perfect for quick lift and shift jobs! Available on ebay connix trailer lights or something!
@@GDBRescueandrecovery thanks I appreciate that.
You have a great business an I like your genuineness as a professional business owner. 👍🏼
Push on top of the tyre way easier better in the back and kness 👍😊 a old bloke showed me years ago works great

Great video as usual. 👍
That last customer was a nice guy, good to see him giving you a hand.
Another great blog Mr and Mrs Gdb. What’s happening with the tilt and slide you bought from Donny way think it was an auction

Smashing out the content Greg 👍🏴

Who needs a TV with content like this?! It must have taken ages to edit this one. Keep it up, mate!
Waheyy 😅 yeah it took a decent amount of time!! Thanks for the watch!

Great vid as always Greg. Come on GDB. Enjoyed the longer vid. Keep them coming mate. Would like to see more tyre van jobs 👍🏻
Hats off to you with that Audi reverse
The first recovery truck I drove was a 7.5t Bedford tk was used with a tow pole to tow Volvo F7s in that had broke down 😄
Should got the guy to pull the handbrake on a couple clicks to help stop over running the winch ;)
First time watching 👀 and enjoyed keep it up I watch some USA stuff MATTS OFFROAD RECOVERY Is a good watch and for a bit of Recovery and FAB stuff FAB RATS is also a Good Watch 😉
I was driving behind that police convoy. I couldn't see myself on video tho 😂
Looked a fair convoy!
Need some led lights on the front of the truck above the window maybe some ambers in the grill 🔥

10 out of 10 for the reversing
10 out of 10 for the parking
Great vid mate, enjoyed as usual.
Holy! Nearly an hour video thats epic!! Personally I'd stay clear of that Bedford.
Premium Content eh, yeah im swaying backwards and forwards.
@@GDBRescueandrecovery certainly is! Most definitely need more!

That recovery truck would be good only for small 4x4 jobs where your 4x4 recovery use is too small for the job and your 18 tonner will get stuck
This is very true, i think she would be a bit to slow for getting to and from jobs and on the job being old school…. UNSURE early stages.
10 out of 10 reversing
Aw Greg am fucking dieing here mate "'it's like we're in the amazon desert here, isin't it" the amazon desert 😂😂😂
Another Great video. The Bedford was a good truck in its day but you might find it a bit slow and due to the age of her you might struggle to get replacement parts
Mj is the turbo charged version of the mk you need to run the turbo up before moving and let it run down afterwards
Love the comments u make getting past them bushes like the amazon forest here 🤣🤣🤣
do u transport cars as im moving homes but my car is undergoing a engine rebuild

Another banger bud days come along way since I last seen it
How much do you charge per hour please
Wow in the corner 😂
Great stuff 👍👍👍
Hi Greg
What are the magnetic rear lights you attach, do they replace a light board ? No indicators or brake lights ?
Mick
Receiver plugs into normal trailer electrics and then wireless connection to the lights.
@@landroverdisco100 thanks pal
Good vlog
Great content pal, I'm possibly after some new tyres for my van soon based in Telford. What brands do you usually stock?

As a man who tows a trailer for a living I doth my cap to you sir
Haven't leavsley's at burton. Got anything like the MJ.
Get a foden recovery 6 wheeler
Seen them before to big for me to store really!
That Bedford originated about 30 minutes away from where I live
Ooo interesting i think she has a fair history to her dont think she got used much though!!
Driving that Bedford's would be painful, something modern would be better.
Why don’t you do gbd weekly
Stick a bigger gear box in it
how much is a HGV tyre .why dont you carry 50 wheel nutts .bedford mj 4 whhel drive i think .
It’s a 9 you hit bush
Sounding a bit rough bro
Your not wrong 😩
come on grandad
define "is what it is"
👍👏👏
yeah not bad lol
11:36 "Grandad" in a non car derived van would be subject to a %)mph limit on a single carraigeway road not 60mph and you should know that
