Honestly it's really sad when someone with such an attitude problem can keep their job as long as they're like the CEO. I used to work at a casino in my area. It's only been around for 10 years. I remember seeing the CEO of this casino completely lose it in front of people like he just completely lost it but he got off scot-free. A customer harasses the hell out of me and I can't seem to contact security to have him escorted out because the number I was given to contact security was wrong. It was so hard to contain my anger that I punched a wall which did damage to only my fist and nothing else. There was like this I don't know temperature thing on the wall and a casing around it that was already loose that just fell down and I can't be blamed for that. But no I who was damn good at my job actually as my coworkers and management loved how fast and efficient I was at my job It didn't matter because I punched the wall once out of anger they fire me. Despite the fact that I wasn't in front of any customers when I did so yet the CEO completely lost it and was screaming at the top of his lungs where customers would be And he got out just fine.
I think, full of shit is the default character for everyone now. To be kind person is rare and special nowadays while its actually supposed to be normal. Well, may you have a better life in the future 🙌🏽
It's not uncommon in the US for people's former managers/business owners to try to get in contact with who they're working for presently or trying to work for and try to sabotage them, so that behavior seems pretty acceptable among such professionals. Nintendo are a pretty brutal company too, especially towards workers, so they probably strategically place awful people in management positions to keep some amount of productivity where they can get away with it.
Recently, SEGA's employees were paid and given a 30% raise after 2022. If there's an issue regarding Sonic or any other problem, the team acknowledges, promises to fix and does. In some ways, SEGA does what Nintendon't
just when we thought Hiroshi Yamauchi, Horonobu Itagaki and Bob Kotick were the Covid-19 of the gaming industry, Yasha Haddaji comes over and be like: "here, tovarisch... hold my vodka!"
@@blitzerblazinoah6838 thanks, first of all, for replying in a civilized fashion; that's legitimately appreciated! perhaps to you Yamauchi wasn't as bad as I make him out to be, but his politics and overall work ethic were highly toxic to the growth of Nintendo as an international business! wasn't until the late, great Iwata-Sensei took over that it regained foothold in the industry... but I'm willing to gracefully admit H.Y.'s ways kept the Big N in check a few times!
@@triplestar100 Hiroshi Yamauchi was a character alright (or should that be Absolute Mad Lad). He was a chain-smoking, hard drinking womaniser who didn't suffer fools gladly or tolerate any perceived threat to his authority. In many ways he was like Jack Tramiel on steroids. While his childhood wasn't as horrific as Tramiel's, it wasn't easy for him. He was essentially abandoned by both his parents at the age of five, raised by his strict grandparents who told him what a shameful, no good dirty rat his father was. Then the Second World War came and he had to endure first the firebombing, the atomic bombs, the shame of national surrender and the feeling of being a second class citizen in his own country by the occupational forces. Finally, he's told to abandon whatever dreams he may have had because he is needed to run the family business when there's already an older family relative that works for said family business who probably harbours their own ambitions for the company. It's remarkable that Yamauchi turned out as well adjusted as he did all things considered.
He doesn't need to be fired. He just needs a severe attitude adjustment upside his head several times till he understands "the beatings WILL continue UNTIL moral improves!"
Nintendo gets away with this because they know they have a huge generation of people who, even upon hearing about these things, will still fight each other for a position at the company and will still happily buy their games for full price. I expect this to be memory holed once Super Mario Bros. Wonder comes out and hype culture ramps up for it. Bad things happening at the company and to customers (such as gaming history being erased with roms taken down) won't be reversed unless Nintendo's biggest fans put their foot down and refuse to buy more Nintendo games.
I can imagine the situation with the mafia to be pretty bad in Russia, where it only matters who you know. The whole story feels like Nintendo needs to have that guy employed so they could get a government license to operate in Russia. Also, I heard that many big and old Japanese companies are connected to yakuza. It could be that Nintendo doesn't mind working with shady organizations and/or people to earn money, regardless of morals.
Nice expose on the industry in other countries. Well done. I cannot imagine The Big N is much better in other markets. At least their games are functional on day one when released, despite their total disregard for their fans.
What this tells me as usual is in this world (all over) we rarely have leaders and more power hungry bosses who just want to demeanor and yell because many of them don't have the tools, personality or mind to be a leader and lead, build people around them and make conditions enjoyable to want to work at or attend. Working in leadership for many years and being on groups, boards and churches even I've even seen pastors talk down among their congregations, curse, and make off color remarks. We all have our moments in life, we all get angry or annoyed with situations or people but it's how you react to your own way that matters. While I won't go home tonight and sell off every Nintendo console and game I own it does continue to make me aware how this gaming business has been. I often wonder if the old pinball and arcade companies from years past were like this since many were small tiny teams and sometimes even just one person.
Well. Says just about enough about Nintendo and their business practices. All of this. They've really come far from the "family friendly" masquerade... Nice Stalin there, BTW.
I heard somewhere that It's called right now "Ачивка" (Achivka, Achievement) or smth like that. Nintendo is still selling their stuff here via the third persons. (sry, my english is a bit rusty)
Nintendo in general is a bad place to work I shared a building with Nintendo Benelux. They rent the whole 3rd floor and smaller companies or on the 5th. So I talked to employees when they stood outside smoke or waited for people and they weren’t too enthusiastic about the company and one even asked if I’d a job for her. And we thank goodness (coming from a libertarian) have some good employee protection laws. Without it I’d think Nintendo would be a totalitarian regime for their non Japan based companies. They after all don’t create anything just provide support (and Nintendo support is terrible!) to consumers like RMA and doing localized marketing.
Thank you for shining a bright light on this dirtbag. It's not like we're all going to boycott Nintendo of Russia, but this sure makes me want to play Sega.

Corruption and revolting bosses. A necessity for the gracious living of certain Nintendo executives.
