My friend Christian and I head out to a local lake near Omaha, Nebraska to catch some stocked trout. Each Fall and Spring, Nebraska Game and Parks stocks rainbow trout into several community ponds and lakes across the state. These are the only times of the year that trout can be reliably caught in and around Omaha. Although these fish are stocked with the intent of put-and-take fishing, I encourage anglers to practice catch and release to allow the trout fishing to last longer.
